Coronavirus could push Social Security to insolvency before 2030

In general today a state public sector pension is generally better than a 401k
I don't really know that, but most people aren't employed by the government....yet.

SS is currently "means tested" by subjecting the SS supplemental retirement benefits to federal income taxation based on the amount of their other income.



Yes. And I wouldn't want SS payments increased for higher incomes if the tax caps were lifted that keeps higher incomes from paying more in SS tax as it is now.
