The research to testing to production to distribution timeline was a year and a half. How is that going to be magically reduced?

And no, I’m not getting a crazy fast tracked vaccine. I’ll leave that to some other guinea pig.

1. They pass legislation that companies developing it are not liable for resulting deaths or sickness
2. Corners get cut on following proper safety measures - upside of being first with vaccine is profits made, downsides go away with #1.
3. Trump FDA rubber stamps it instead of doing proper oversight

I had more faith in government agencies doing their job and oversight properly before Trump era. I am on the fence on the OP question, so did not vote.

Trump is in charge of this. You have to wonder what will actually be in the vaccine sent to the Blue states.

You guys don't trust Fauci anymore? I think the fast track part is more getting a head start in getting it to market. Not cutting corners with the actual vaccine.

That would be my concern. Obviously the exit strategy is mass and repeating testing with a vaccine being the end game changer. There is a reason clinical trials and using control groups is used in testing, effectiveness and safety. The two go hand in hand.
 
Eh. i highly doubt he would be anywhere near the lab that's making it. I trust science more that him so as long as a doctor tells me it works and not trumpy boi.

I joined the Army. I loved the obstacle course, mountain search and rescue, police survival training, repelling down a waterfall and I am going to fear a vaccine now. I got so many shots in the military and I don't have a clue what they gave me. Why worry now? After all the stupid stunts I have survived there has to be a God and that God is watching over me. There is no other logical explanation why I am still alive. So if it needs testing I am ready to keep my winning streak going.
 
This thread is the perfect example of why Trump can never do his job right for some---carp if its too fast, carp if its too slow, carp anyway because there is never a just right.

So I should change how I lean before taking the vaccine? I think I am registered as a democrat right now also. I was hoping to see who I wanted to help in the primaries before I change if I do.
