Coronavirus: NJ Gov. Orders State Police To Commandeer Needed Medical Supplies

Thank God the president doesn't issue an order for law enforcement to steel private property. What's next? Cops are going to be "requisitioning" food from peoples' homes? Orders like this justify buying guns and stocking up on ammunition.

Isn't one exact reason for the Revolutionary War the British police/military seizing people's property by force?

It is 100% prohibited in the Bill Of Rights for the police to seize anyone's property without a court order.

This is how totalitarian socialist and fascist police state works.

You are responsible and when word of this first came up, you went to Home Depot buying gloves and N95 masks - that you wear when you go buy groceries and the doctor.

Another person, totally irresponsible and instead spending their money for a new smart phone they don't need. Therefore, that person get covid-19.

The police burst into your house having a tip you have masks for such irresponsible personal behavior. This leads to the person they stole from - who is informed the beds are already full and because that person is an elderly woman with COPD the odds of her surviving are too low down the priority list - so she is told to go die at home.

That's what the New Jersey governor just ordered is government, social and legally mandated police-state policy enforced by armed police prepared to used deadly force against anyone trying to protect their own lives from covid-19.

The State prosecutor would not want me on the jury of anyone arrested for refusing to release masks, on any jury suing the police and state government, or on any jury where a person used deadly force trying to protect themself, their children or their grandmother or grandfather. There is no ethical theory that allows the police to kill someone (by stealing their anti-covid-19 supplies) to save someone else they claim is more important.
