It is impossible for you to turn this around because there isn't a single lefty that believes in "hospital ships posing as instruments of secret govt takeovers".

The engineer already admitted that he believed that the ship was, in his mind, a fake cover for some kind of military takeover.
That's Q-Anon/Deepstate CT crap all the way, and that nonsense is the exclusive province of RW nutjobs.

For me it's much closer to home, because I have relatives who bought into the whole Jade Helm thing a couple of years back, and they're already spouting this nonsense; that these hospital ships "might be deep cover by the derp-state for a military takeover."

I know a couple of them as well. They’re getting their “news” from anonymous tweets, and conspiracy theory sites, and 8chan.

It was bad enough that this relative was listening to Alex Jones. Nowadays he claims he doesn't "and never did" (which is pure BS of course) but he's getting much the same from Sean Hannity et al so it wouldn't even matter if he's still an Infowars loon anyway, because Hannity et al are regurgitating the Alex Jones crap almost wholesale.

You have to wonder about people who watch a guy try to drive a train into a hospital ship operated by the military, and their first instinct is to try to tie it to the other side of some political divide.
