Unbelievable - even now, right wing pundits continue to deny the virus

I don't find such antics unbelieveable at all. I turn here to one of my handy desk references, A Beginner's Guide to Government. Aloysius Goldpen. Chelm Press, 2011, Gotham, GA.

"There are some people who can be fooled all of the time. These, when kept emotionally involved, form a sturdy base upon which to build a political career."

Regards, stay well and be thankful you're not one of the '15'.

Thanks, but I didn't get the reference, pardon my ignorance. Who are the '15'?

Frankly, what they are doing by spreading misinformation during a public health crisis is not a difference of opinion, it's ****ing criminal.

There is no doubt that people will have died because of this propaganda. When this is all over, we as a nation need to have a conversation about what legal liability the press should hold for spreading misinformation like this. If the press can be fined for vulgarity, they can be sanctioned/censored for giving the public dangerous health advise in a pandemic.

Not to forget the man who died of chloroquine poisoning, whose still surviving (but critical) wife confirmed that the couple ingested the substance because they believed in what Trump said.

Even before this death, I posted extensively here saying that "Dr." Trump shouldn't be dispensing medical advice; I said that people would get hurt. QED.

Instead, a real leader would have said "there is a preliminary study showing a positive development regarding some medications but it's not confirmed and my medical experts say that it's premature to reach conclusions and say that these drugs have serious side effects, and nobody should self-medicate with drugs that are potentially dangerous, without the supervision of a competent licensed physician; so, dear Americans, don't go trying wild unproven therapies; listen to the doctors. In the middle of a pandemic people promise miracle cures and there is considerable danger in believing in something you see online or believing in rumors. Let's allow the medical experts to look into those things before we do anything harsh, OK?"

That man would still be alive.

It's two sisters. Thanks for this. If all you've got are Diamond and Silk....

Sounds like two strippers I used to know in Detroit years ago. Is the OP serious?

This may be too much to ask in a forum like this due to space considerations, but has anyone discovered just how the MSM turned into evil spreaders of false info as is alleged here. Did it begin with Spiro Agnew and the “nattering nabobs of negativism”? Did it start with “that pinko Cronkite,” as Archie Bunker called him? Whence came all this fake news? As I understand it, US media tends to present both sides of an issue. And as noted, ain’t no reason to make up or exaggerate stuff about Trump.

Sure, I don't approve of fake news at all, and it's a shame that the media now cater to specific segments of the population and give them what they want to hear, for ratings.

But there is hardly a reason to make up or exaggerate stuff about Trump... he usually takes care of delivering pretty big blunders himself, no exaggeration needed.

There were several well-documented dismissive statements by him and even the claim that it was a hoax from the Democrats... something I always found to be extremely weird because there are no Democrats in China, Iran, Italy, Spain... He repeatedly said it was nothing, we had it under control, it would by miracle (a word he used) disappear in April, and so on and so forth, and called it a flu.

Now he is saying "it's not the flu, it's vicious." Finally. It's actually rare for Trump to sort of admit to a mistake... although it's never a complete acknowledgment, he wholeheartedly endorsed Mitch's preposterous statement that it was the impeachment that distracted him from realizing how the coronavirus was dangerous, when the impeachment acquittal came in early February and he was still denying the virus' danger way into March; meanwhile he had several campaign rallies and played golf several times.

I think that what happened with the about face, is that Trump is now realizing how his administration will be marked by this... with the White House itself predicting between 100,000 and 240,000 deaths IF containment measures work, Trump came to realize that this is more dead Americans than the wars of Vietnam and Korea and victims of terrorism combined.

Apparently a close friend of his caught it and rapidly went into a coma.

I kept saying, "all of you who say it's nothing, wait until it hits a loved one; you'll rapidly change your minds." Seems like it has finally happened to Trump. I mean, a week ago he was still trying to reopen everything by Easter...

Hi! I'll answer with a quote.

"And again, when you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done." President of the United States of America Donald Trump.

Regards, and stay well.

Is it because they're black?

No, it's because they're stupid.

Or does being black somehow magically keep someone from being stupid? Sounds like a fetish, APDST, but okay.
