Why Should Public Sector Workers Get A Stimulus Check?

They're being paid whether they work or not now

Should it not be just the people/businesses in private sector who cannot work?

Should the private sector get a stimulus check if they collect unemployment?
 
Why are you not complaining about big business getting money? Boeing, millions, no problem. Some poor slob getting a few thousand, big problem.

Keep voting republican and supporting the top ten percent and ignore the part that says by the people, for the people.

From a practical perspective: Because the longer it takes government bureaucracy to determine whether or not someone is truly "deserving" of the funds, the longer it takes for money to get to the people who actually need it. Everyone should get a check whether they need it or not, because I would argue far more people need it than who don't. And for the people who do not need the checks, they can simply spend it within the consumer economy to get money circulating into the system.

Because government employees are constantly making the supreme sacrifice in serving the needs of the helpless, ignorant and abused masses. Without government employees we would wander around aimlessly, bumping into each other and transmitting CV-19.

Why not? Public workers live off the tat of the private sector workers anyway. Let's give them even MORE money for not working.

It's tax season. Instead of sending checks to everyone how about just letting them keep their money and not requiring sending in anything?

Well, most people's income taxes are already paid via their employers through payroll taxes. If they could be given back through a full refund, that might suffice.
