Dr. James T. Goodrich, the neurosurgeon who allowed CNN inside a remarkable operation to separate twins Jadon and Anias McDonald, died on Monday after complications related to Covid-19, according to the hospital where he worked.

From CNN :

Rest in Dr. Goodrich.

That's both very sad and very unfortunate for any future infants that need the expertise of a neurosurgeon. We're going to be losing some people that contribute a lot to medicine and science. This is getting more scary by the day.

The CNN website is doing a pretty good job of listing people of note who've died from coronavirus. It's shocking how many we're losing. When we see dozens of iconic names we know losing to the disease, it hits home just how wide & prevalent the epidemic is.

America's Premier Victim Culture Cult Network should have been expected to manage that task.

I should start a thread for every famous person who dies in an auto and private aircraft accident. This is the only way to convince people to support outlawing anyone but professional drivers and then only for essential travel being allowed to drive - and only if they can not walk or ride a bicycle, take a bus or subway. Or do you WANT people to die?!

Too bad Governor Cuomo did nothing to prepare for this and so long to act.

A terrible loss for his family and the wider Community in General. His work was truly inspirational.

RIP

Not to be cold hearted, but I didn't. I'm not a sports fan. I don't see how his life was any more important than any other person. I don't worship celebrities. Other than correct social decorum, I didn't mourn his death for one second, though certainly recognize this was tragic for his family, like all deaths are.

Ok , point taken . But when Kobes death was posted you didn’t state that maybe you should start a thread about everyone who dies in helicopter crashes.

I just wanted to acknowledge that a good neurosurgeon was lost in New York from the virus and may he Rest In Peace.

You saw my post and made into something partisan.

I said nothing partisan in my post.

I know. And this is irrational, but...The one that drove this home for me was Joe Diffie.

For me it was John Prine.

A great many of those lost are musicians, for obvious reasons. So sad, because this may gut many of the elder statesmen that have meant so much to us in our lives.

I thought Prine recovered.
