Florida Receives Emergency Medical Supplies Even as Other States Struggle
On March 11, Florida requested a cache of emergency supplies from the federal government to protect its medical workers against the novel coronavirus.

Three days later, the state got everything it wanted.

Other states had only tiny slivers of their requests fulfilled, including some that had asked for them earlier than Florida. Oregon and Oklahoma received only about 10%; New Jersey got less than 6%.

Now why would FL get such special treatment while Dirtbag Donnie gives the finger to desperate NY and other states having to outbid each other and even FEMA for essential equipment? I'm sure it couldn't be that FL happens to be a must win state for Dirtbag in November.
 
Maybe because of the elderly population.

I realize just because that makes sense doesn't mean that's what Trump did.

The thread is about FL getting “more than their fair share” of pandemic supplies and you countered that it may be “triage.” If I understand the term, it means saving those that will have the best chance of survival. Brings an interesting dilemma to mind; the missus is a retired healthcare professional. I just posed a simplistic question to her: you have two patients, one is elderly and one is mid thirties. You can save one only. They both have the same chance of survival, but you only have “one silver bullet.” Who gets saved.....?

I didnt see what that 'fair share' was based on. Triage is not fair but it is based on criteria.

There were reports that the supplies were being allocated according to left/right criteria.

I'm not Trump supporter but I am also not so blinded by bias that I immediately, by knee-jerk reaction, believe that everything he does is wrong.(Almost always, but not 100%)

And? Are they true or is it possible it was based on triage principles?
