Trump can boss, he can't lead

Really?
You wouldn't defend yourself at work if you got blamed for someone else's screwup?

Unless it effected my job, no. Why would I? I don't care what others think.

And if it did effect my job, I wouldn't defend myself by refusing to do my job. Only a child acts this way.

He is under enormous pressure, yes, and he's showing his temperamental inability to deal with it like a President.
How so?
He has been managing the situtation adequately. It seems as if you and others are putting an expectation of perfection on him that can only be obtained with the benefit of hindsight.
At the same time you're giving other politicians a pass for not having the same precoginitive abilities that you want everyone to hold Trump accountable for not having.
I don't recall any Democrat politicians/leaders ringing any alarm bells before Trump did back in late January and I can in fact name a few who were telling people to ignore Trump when he was telling them to begin to prepare for this.

Trump’s childish spats with governors have revealed perhaps more clearly than anything else in his Presidency his unfitness to lead. The governor of Michigan, “that woman”, has seen supplies from the federal government held up because the President felt she “wasn’t nice”. He’s lashed out at Cuomo and the governor of Washington when a leader would have quietly put up with their frustrations, or answered them civilly whether or not he felt the criticisms unfair. One effect of this has been to exacerbate the divisiveness in the country, as his supporters join with him in his attacks, when a deadly common threat should be a cause of unity.

Trump knows how to be a boss. He doesn't know how to lead.

You can't lead a bunch of whiny ultra-partisan hacks in Congress (both R & D) that are dumber than hammers,..........sometimes you have to boss.

In fact knowing when to 'lead' and/or 'boss', is the most important trait of successful executives.

If it's on the job, it affects your job and the business.
And if you got blamed for someone else's screwup on the job you most certainly would, and should, make it known.

But on this topic, you're making up analogies for non-existent situations.

Unsupported BS. You don't work with me.

And if you got blamed for someone else's screwup on the job you most certainly would, and should, make it known.

Making something known is quite different than a threatening hissy fit.

But on this topic, you're making up analogies for non-existent situations.

Okie-doke.

No I didn't. Your point had nothing to do with holding those governors responsible for their actions.

Want to bet that Michigan holds Trump responsible on election day? Hell, if the election were held tomorrow Michigan would go Dem and things will only get a lot worse before November.
Know how Hillary was the only thing that could get Trump elected? Well, Trump looks like the only thing that can get Biden elected.

Unsupported BS. You don't work with me.

Unless your business promotes screwups, every screwup affects every job in every business.

Making something known is quite different than a threatening hissy fit.
Depends on the screwup.
But what was made known that you saw as a threatening hissy fit?

Okie-doke.
I think you must realize your analogy was a screwup and it was yours alone so you can't blame anyone else. See how that works?

Why do you need a leader? You can't think for yourself?

I can think for myself but this country needs an actual leader... lol.., Ridiculous post

Its not childishness to point out that Gov Cuomo declined to purchase ventilators when he had the opportunity or that NYC hospitals had been shutdown.
Its called that Gov Cuomo ought be held politically accountable for his actions.

The true source of the problem is that over the past few decades, the USA in a bipartisan fashion have offshored American industry to China.
Including the production of medical supplies.
One of the more ironical situation here is that Mr. Trump has long been a critic of the policies that have led to this state of affairs.

When did cuomo have the opportunity to buy all those ventilators?

America needs a leader, not a boss

So cuomo should be held responsible by lying trump for not pulling a Nostradamus and guessing of a global pandemic 5 years into the future. Holy cow trump nation is just a pack of lying con artists/cultists.

“Yes, they’re in a stockpile because that’s where they are supposed to be, because we don’t need them yet,”
“We need them for the apex, the apex isn’t here, so we’re gathering them in a stockpile.”
“We don’t need them today, because we’re not at capacity today, that’s why they’re not deployed because they’re not needed,”
Gov. Andrew Cuomo - 3/27/2020 - speaking about his stockpile of unused ventilators.

Link for some obviously missing context please.

*Edit... Didn't wait for your biased link...

Trump challenges Cuomo: "I don't believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators" - CBS News

So cuomo is preparing for the apex. Go figure. Was there some actual point you were trying to make? Because you failed to make one.

Right. Cuomo has a ton of unused ventilators stockpiled but he's asking for 40,000 more because he's basing his needs on models that experience has shown to be wildly exaggerated.

And ... your own link provided the same quotes I did so bitch to CBS. Did the context help you to come up with a Cuomo defense?

My link shows that cuomo is preparing for the worst while your carved up co text made it look as if he is witholding ventilators from peoe who need it. Which is typical trumpanzee dishonesty. And you quoted me as if to refute the stupidity of cuomo not buying ventilators in 2015. You still haven't made a point at all.

I responded to you to show you ...
(a) Cuomo has unused ventilators and I don't care when or how he got them (although the Feds gave him thousands) and
(b) Cuomo is forecasting his needs based on models that haven't reflected reality.

A) cuomo is preparing for worst case scenario
B) youve not supported that at all
C) you replied to me to go off on a tangent not related at all to my post.

Me thinks you were just surfing for a place to drop that out of context quote. Sorry to have burst your bubble with facts.

I shouldn't have to tell you this but you haven't provided facts.
Cuomo is forecasting based on models (he's admitted as much) and models are not facts.
What I gave you are facts acknowledged by Cuomo himself.

What you did was dishonestly post a hacked up quote out of context and then did a victory dance until i showed you context and now you are doing a whole other kind of dancing.

Ps.. you've not provided a single link so youve not done really anything but conjecture. All a part of this new dance you are doing i suppose.

I asked you what the context was that pleased you so and you never answered.
So what was it?

I think that the boss instead of lead argument is really good. One thing I am a little confused by though is why did anyone think that having a businessman in charge would be different than what we have now? The entire point of being a CEO is to make profit for the shareholders and Trump has done just that. The shareholders are the relative handful of people in this country that have huge amounts of wealth. I'm thinking far too many Americans don't view themselves as the workers and that may be part of the problem. Is it really shocking that a businessman would be bossy and authoritarian? Has anyone worked for a company before?

You actually responded to it when i pointed it out so you are lying yet again.

This is The United States. We're capable of getting things done without "dear leader." Liberals, on the other hand, need to be led because they're all sheep.
