It's incredible to think that out of 195 countries in the world, this disease has made it to 190 of them. Modern travel has helped more than just people get around unfortunately.

The chart shows the USA has one of the lowest death rates per infected in the world per population.

Yes, many Democrats are truly furious and beside themselves that not enough Americans are dying - and yes - they blame Trump for this.
 
And yet when compared with the rest of the 12 industrialized nations listed we are 9th in terms of deaths per million and total cases per million.

1. We've been catching up to Italy for a while now. We are growing faster in number of cases than them. So, I doubt Italy will ever be higher than us after tomorrow. We are still not on lockdown across the country.

2. You are right about population size difference. But don't let Trump know about it - I think he likes winning too much. If you insist though, by that measure, we are 5 times ahead of China, and growing. Cool!

Yes, we blame Trump for it - the video in the OP explains why. He stonewalled all preparation for this. AND we are still not on lockdown across the country. There are a lot of things he did wrong - from allowing the virus to fester on cruise ship and then releasing passengers to healthcare workers without PPE, to installing censorship tzar Pence over healthcare professionals, to explicitly forbidding public advice for people over age 60 to fly, to wasting precious months of belittling the virus instead of preparing for it and being on top of testing and procuring supplies. Heck, he even was the last one to hold rallies when he was not even running against anyone serious in primaries.

Because it is Trumps fault. The deaths now and the ones to come in the red states like Florida and elsewhere, are fully Trumps fault. Lack of preparedness and cooperation and leadership is why the US will have double the amount of infected by this time next week.

I do admit, I was wrong in my original prediction that the US would pass Italy by Friday.. they did it a day early and managed to pass even China.

Now, lets get serious. Who here wants to compare the Chinese regime with our free will Government? Look what they did in Hong Kong before all this started. Does anyone really think that the Chinese people were asked when and where they would like to go? What was the punishment for non compliance? What do you think the Chinese would have done to the spring breakers?
 
Several weeks ago it was numerical certainty that the US would surpass the rest, so this isn't really news.

But you have to keep in mind that our awesome government cut back on public health spending so that it could send troops all over the world to engage in the hoax known as the Global War On Terror. And of course cut taxes for corporations.

So we got started at least 3 weeks too late to have any chance to control it early. So our #1 status is completely predictable. :mrgreen:
 
The reality is that the pandemic was already well spread throughout the US long before the public acknowledgements from China ever became an issue. All one need do is look at the number of daily flights in the world (approx 104,000 a day) and travelers (approx 880,000 a day) to understand that it was never going to be contained. More testing will produce higher numbers. The biggest challenge always has been and will continue to be how well can we treat the most dire cases.

...it might take 18 months but stay strong, the cure is coming and you are not alone. Many are afflicted just like you.

I understand your cheering China outlawing the press and imprisoning or killing doctors who talked to reporters. Do you have a closet prayer station to Xi Jinping? He is the Democratic Party's ideal model of the perfect form of government.

If you consider surface stability of this virus, one could suspect that many of the shipments, along with possibly infected crew, coming from China could have cause a silent spread among our citizens before we were aware of its existence.

No one dare mention the total contradictions being told. One one hand, they claim the numbers declared by the government of China - all independent review criminalized. But on the other hand, despite China imposing no quarantine for nearly 2 months and millions then ignoring it, the death rate per a population of nearly 1.5 billion means this is one of the least dangerous viruses humans have faced in known history.

The contradiction of claims is so obvious it again reproves most people are total submissive idiots to the propaganda outlets of the super rich.

The Super rich and their Chinese business partnership have the Democratic Party now fully as their ally in demanding all tariffs against China be eliminated. Looks like China might win again with the fully support of the Democratic Party. Only Trump stands in their way.

I bet China wins some kind of an award for the great job they have done in dealing with COVID 19 and sharing the information worldwide to help stop the spread of the China Virus.
