As you should be ashamed for spewing such foolishness.
Your reply is irrational and makes no sense as I simply stated reality.

Jesus man, get a grip... you are the one trying to connect a detail that does not translate and declaring victory by justifying it based on what you think his supporters might believe. Instead, you should be objective and just tell the truth. He did not call the virus a hoax. He acted slow like many other world leaders. He might be acting irresponsible in letting up on restrictions, if he does indeed do that. What he called a hoax was the Left's description of his not caring or perceived inaction.
I am not defending dishonesty... I am being accurate.
You should be ashamed of posting lies...
NO responsible national leader would or should ever use the word HOAX in connection with a national health crisis. That was the Trump sin and he is guilty of doing just that.

Gotta wonder if it will ever dawn on Trump how many people he killed being a con man instead of a President.
Okay - you get to be in the driver seat. Lets see how you do:
Tell us exactly - what did Trump say about a HOAX in connection with the virus?
Yes. And it seems to me that Trump is taking this extremely seriously, and understands that whatever he does can make or break the entire world. I have NOT seen him acting like an idiot.
I am NOT a Trump supporter. Yet I defend him against the crazed demonization coming from Democrats and from the "left."
Gotta wonder if it will ever dawn on Trump how many people he killed being a con man instead of a President.
He has his own way of talking, which is understood by his supporters.
He did not say the Hoax was in connection with the virus.
"What's True
During a Feb. 28, 2020, campaign rally in South Carolina, President Donald Trump likened the Democrats' criticism of his administration's response to the new coronavirus outbreak to their efforts to impeach him, saying "this is their new hoax."
Did President Trump Refer to the Coronavirus as a 'Hoax'?
I already gave you this information.
And there will be many more if we do this every time johnny gets the sniffles or grandma has bad gas.
... OR a new strain of virus gives people a cold or the flu.
and the caskets won't be because of the cold or the flu
You just quoted an article which summed it up. I do NOT want that. Give me his exact words.
We did one of the great jobs, you say, "how's President Dru... Trump doing?" They go, "oh, not good, not good". They have no clue. They don't have any clue...
But you know we did something that's been pretty amazing. We're fifteen people in this massive country. And because of the fact that we won early. We won early. We coulda had a lot more than that. We're doing great. Our country is doing so great. We're so unified. We are so unified...
Or how many he saved by shutting down travel from China when he did.
I am not going to do too much of your work for you but here is enough:
"“The Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus,” Trump said. “One of my people came up to me and said, ‘Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia.’ That did not work out too well. They could not do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. … They tried anything. … And this is their new hoax.”"
5 times Trump and US officials downplayed coronavirus as the administration struggled to prepare for the growing pandemic | Business Insider
Dems are politicizing the corona virus, saying that he is not doing enough... THAT is the hoax, that he is not doing enough, or incompetent, etc. about his handling of the corona virus...
hoax verb
\ ˈhōks \
hoaxed; hoaxing; hoaxes
Definition of hoax (Entry 1 of 2)
transitive verb
: to trick into believing or accepting as genuine something false and often preposterous
were hoaxed by the website
hoax noun
Definition of hoax (Entry 2 of 2)
1 : an act intended to trick or dupe : IMPOSTURE
the victim of a cruel hoax
assumed the bomb threat was just a hoax
2 : something accepted or established by fraud or fabrication
believes the Loch Ness Monster is a hoax
a literary hoax
The only "hoax" in all of this is the propaganda that any part of this is a "hoax".
The reaction is not a hoax, the virus is not a hoax, the potential damage it can do is not a hoax. Look at Italy, they're suffering near 10% mortality with this. We're sitting at around 1.5%, which is still high for a disease (the flu is 0.1%), but if we take this seriously we can likely drop that overall mortality rate by the time this is said and done.
Trump flubbed up the response. He tried to dismiss it far too flippantly when it started, tried to play the outcry and concern off as some Democrat hoax, he did not address the problem as it should have been. He ****ed up. He ****ed up. All this "hoax" nonsense is nothing more than deflection and spin because Trumpeteers don't want to admit that Trump ****ed up.
He's started to take things a bit more seriously, and we'll see if it can be turned around. It's going to spread, but if we can slow the spread in order to relieve stress on the healthcare infrastructure and take our social distancing seriously, we can minimize the numbers. And then Trump can brag about that. We're not past the event horizon on this, but Trump did **** up in his initial response and tried to blame everyone but himself. Though that is typical Trump, he lives on the "This is everyone's fault but mine" mantra.
There is no hoax.
Here is a dictionary definition of the word HOAX
Trump used the word HOAX in connection with the topic of the virus. What did the Dems do that amounted to the definition of a HOAX because I have seen no example of it.
There has been a lot of hysterical bashing of Trump, and of the Republicans. The gist of it seems to be that Trump thought the virus was just a hoax, and therefore failed to respond.
But if you look at snopes and factcheck, you will see that he never called the virus a hoax. The word "hoax" appeared in a statement he made, but it was not referring to the virus.
So if a response was delayed at all (which I doubt), it was not because Trump didn't think there was a serious threat.
The hysterical bashing doesn't seem exactly fair to me -- how does anyone know how any other president would have handled something so unprecedented? Why would any administration have been expecting this?
I'm sure many mistakes have been made and no emergency is ever handled perfectly. Is it possible to get a balanced perspective on this?
I am not partisan, at all. I hate both parties almost equally. Democrats I hate a little more, because they are elitist hypocrites.
What do you think of apdst's response to a previous post of yours with post #55?
I never said that Trump's use of the term was correct... just that he was not calling the pandemic a hoax... but I see that you are side stepping now that I have proven you wrong. Red Herring somebody else.
So what exactly was the HOAX Trump was referring to?
The only thing you have proven is a craven desire to excuse anything Trump does

So is this one.
