The president confidently calls for business to resume April 12, and stocks SOAR 2100+ points, the highest one-day gain in history!. Ladies and gentlemen, THIS is how you LEAD!!! Not with the doom and gloom stuff CNN and the leftwing media are spouting all day. The New York Times and others are grousing about it, but the president is 100% right!!!. I've done the calculations myself and have determined that before April 10, the cases (if they ever existed) will be heading down the curve. The number of new cases will be dropping. I realize the leftwingers HATE this news. They would love the shutdown to continue for months and destroy the economy and Trump's chances, but it's not going to happen. People will be bursting at the seams by summer to get out and party like it's 1999, and President Trump willl be leading the way.

Being the numbers wonk I am, I see the rate of increase is already dropping. March 20, cases were increasing threefold every three days. By March 26, the cases will double every three days. By April 1st, we'll have the same number of new cases every three days, and by April 6, the number of new cases will start to fall. By Easter week, the drop will be so precipitous, the danger will be be past, and the president will be spot on. I don't foresee more than 130,000 cases and 10,400 deaths. Pretty damn mild as viruses go, and considerably fewer than idiot Boy's H1N1 in 2009. Another excellent job by President Trump!

There is no reason why the rural counties with no reported cases can’t get back to work now.
I live in Oswego County in Central NY, on Lake Ontario. We have no cases reported but yet decisions made for NYC are adversely affecting us in Oswego. There is no reason why we can’t get back to work.
Cuomo has no clue what the rest of the state is doing. As is always the case downstate is a first priority for Cuomo because that is the area that elects him into office. The rural counties are conservative and are ignored by Cuomo.

You have to realize that liberals love this crisis. First of all they don’t have to work and get a government handout and secondly Trump can’t run on his economy any longer and now they have a chance to defeat him.

I assume that you are impressed by (celebrating?) the declining percentages of new COVID-19 (4 day period) infections, but note that from March 16 to 19 we added about 10K new infections while from March 23 to 26 we added closer to 40K new infections. While that 40K new infections (in 4 days) is a lower percentage (of those infected to date) it is adding a lot more strain on hospitals than the 10K newly infected (in 4 days) did.

LOL! That's not what boosted the market. What boosted the market was the news that the lawmakers are close to making a deal for passing a stimulation package. No one with half a brain expects that it will be business as usual again by Easter.
 
Just wondering how many worshipers may be exposed to or spread the virus during Easter services? Many of those people may be his supporters and trust him more than the medical professionals. What a way to pander to a large part of his base.

Leftwing governors and mayors lifting restrictions is a whole nother ball game. Same for the media saying it's done after it is. They ain't gonna do it. They're going to milk this, string it along, badmouth it, keep it going and scare the public as long as possible. That will be their only choice as they try to hurt Trump. "But there are still several thousand sick people" or "But we never know when the virus will recur" or "Democrat governors had to bail Trump out". Any number of things.
