This was brought upon Twitter in the last day or so.......what does Turkey have that Trump wants? The audio of the Khashoggi murder on Turkish soil. I’ll wager Trump wants it to stay buried. The Trump Towers doesn’t seem to be the factor. Imo.
 
He knows his base only cared about ISIS insofar as they could use it to dishonestly attack Obama. He also knows that if he announces ISIS is defeated, they will say ISIS is defeated even if there are satellite pictures of a million-man ISIS army marauding around the ME.

They don't care that something like 70,000k ISIS members being held by the Kurds are likely to escape or at least a huge portion of them. Besides, if they end up attacking America again, Trumpists will just blame the Democrats.



We're well past the point where things like truth and honesty matter.

Then he should just ask the Saudis ... they've already had it for a long time.

Turkey has Turkish interests at heart that are greater than the US interests in the Kurds.

The US values its relationship with Turkey more than the Kurds.

The Kurds are a weak strategic player. If Turkey no longer supports the US, the US would have zero access to the Kurds. Landlocked and surrounded by other countries that prefer Turkey beating the Kurds.

A no win proposition for the US, so to cut its losses it did not stop Turkey from attacking

Erdogan probably photoshopped a pic of Joe Biden wearing a thong and pole dancing at some dive in Istanbul.

Or maybe it was in appreciation for the Turkish involvement in the Normandy invasion?

Who knows?
