The Navy Says Those UFO Videos Are Real

There is an alternate explanation. The tech the various governmetns have is better than people realize. ever think of that?

There is no question all governments have lied about the presence of aliens on this planet. Whether they discovered the presence by way of technology or by way of old-fashioned investigation and reverse engineering is not critical. Reverse engineering HAS occurred, both here and in Russia.

The fairly well documented history of Blue Book establishes that.

The reverse engineering of the material found at Roswell is commonly known. The large numbers of people who have been abducted and returned is well established but seldom discussed.

So you tell me, have I thought of that?

I can tell you that idea is totally and absolutely insane.

I guess I'll just have to wait to discover which "idea" you reference. Really high quality discussion here.....

SOME people understood the meaning of 'junk DNA' in 1965. My Jesuit biology instructors did. Maybe you didn't, or maybe your biology instructors didn't, but mine did.
Your understanding as you described earlier is wrong though, both as it was understood in the past and as it is understood now. Your initial comments also suggested you had vague memories of general discussions on the topic rather than a detailed recollection of formal teaching. The story is continually evolving. ;)

And you’ve still not established any statement from anyone involved with the HGP referring to “extra-terrestrial DNA”, rendering the entire thing moot in the context of the thread.

And you STILL don't seem to understand that your lack of information and knowledge means nothing to me.

Rational adult discussions are fantastic when they happen, but so often they don't. Life goes on. :peace

Too true. You don’t start rational discussions by accusing everyone else of being “in denial” and then being unwilling/unable to provide the evidence to support your position.

Sometimes I wonder whether the govt isn't just playing games with UFOs. Pretending they might be there. Posting enough to give people reason to think they might be real, but never enough to prove it. All to keep other secrets hidden.

I think that they are talking about developing the SR-72 when it's already been developed. And the UFO's are being used as cover for their flights.

Possibly. Who knows?

The term "junk DNA" is outdated. As researchers make new discoveries the term is becoming obsolite.

"In the 1970s, when biologists first glimpsed the landscape of human genes, they saw that the small pieces of DNA that coded for proteins (known as exons) seemed to float like bits of wood in a sea of genetic gibberish. What on earth were those billions of other letters of DNA there for? No less a molecular luminary than Francis Crick, co-discoverer of DNA’s double-helical structure, suspected it was “little better than junk.”
The phrase “junk DNA” has haunted human genetics ever since. In 2000, when scientists of the Human Genome Project presented the first rough draft of the sequence of bases, or code letters, in human DNA, the initial results appeared to confirm that the vast majority of the sequence—perhaps 97 percent of its 3.2 billion bases—had no apparent function. The “Book of Life,” in other words, looked like a heavily padded text."
"Yes, I really think this phrase does need to be totally expunged from the lexicon. It was a slightly throwaway phrase to describe very interesting phenomena that were discovered in the 1970s. I am now convinced that it’s just not a very useful way of describing what’s going on."

"Now that we are retiring the phrase “junk DNA,” is there another, better metaphor that might explain the emerging view of the genetic landscape?
What it feels like is genuinely a jungle—a completely dense jungle of stuff that you have to work your way through. You’re trying to hack your way to a certain position. And you’re really not sure where you are, you know? It’s quite easy to feel lost in there."

Mike, it's good to see that at least you admit the existence of the term.

Some posters have convinced themselves the term never existed, never had any meaning.

Commendations are in order for the Iron Butt Man.

Why wouldn't I. The term has been around for years. It also seems research is discovering it is not so much "Junk" at they didn't realize what it was.

It was good to see you post a source.

That would be a miracle.
