Ocasio *is* in fact a Republican. She is the Bronx equivalent to Sarah Sanders, a corporate oil server. The only reason why she claimed to be a Democrat is so she could trick the entire New York into believing her stuff.

She was appointed by Donald Trump as a US Representative, not democratically elected. They both share the exact views on monetary policy. She drives a gas-guzzling car, her fiance is a Republican (who doesn't even talk politics) and she helped Trump get elected. The Green New Deal is a criminal conspiracy, started by conservative anti-immigrant Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The government might tell you, "Oh, go buy that 120-horsepower Prius for $35,000, because better fuel economy. Not that 460-horsepower Mustang for the same price because fuel economy on that is bad."

Surprised GoodNews2Night isn't the author this time.

Wow, what a load of coprolite.

She was indeed elected, defeating 10 time incumbent Joe Crowley in the primary. Then defeating Anthony Pappas in the general election.

Hell, and everybody should know that the President does not fill vacancies in the House. That can only be done by a new election. It is the one segment of our government where an open position can only be filled by electing a replacement. That is mandated in the Constitution.

In the Senate it is a bit different, because the Constitution does not specify how it is done. In 36 states the Governor appoints somebody as the new Senator, until a special election is held during the next regular election. If they are voted to be retained they hold the position until the end of the previous holders term of office ends.

In the other 14 a special election is immediately called, and the Governor appoints somebody else until that date. Like in the previous the temporary holder can run on their own for the seat, but also if elected they only fulfil the remainder of the previous holders term.

This is not even a good conspiracy theory, it is utter rubbish.
