Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY knows that Trump obstructed justice. Even Mueller says that there is ample evidence of obstruction.

What needs to happen is that Democrats need to =take a stand on this and impeach NOW, not later. They need to prove that Trump, knowing that he was going to be indicted for obstruction, appointed Barr with the EXPRESS INTENT of keeping the indictment off the table. If that isn't "corrupt intent" then nothing is and the Democrats would be doing a grave disservice to America if they fail to follow through and expose this corruption for what it is.

Mueller had proof of obstruction but refused to indict that ham sandwich? Yikes!

OK, I will bite on this obvious troll.

I sincerely hope the Democrats take up the issue of obstruction. Their arguments will have to prove that the mean tweets and comments from Trump regarding the Mueller team harmed the investigation or that Trumps firing of Comey was obstruction. In other words, he harmed an investigation that was followed to its completion and ultimately disproved the myth of Trump/Russia collusion?

More interestingly, they will have to prove that Trump's firing of Comey was obstruction. (Never mind that he doesn't need a reason to fire the head of the FBI.) I am not a legal expert, but in order to prove the firing was only to interfere in the investigation the Democrats would have to prove there was no other "for cause" reason that Trump fired Comey. It seems to me that eliminating a "for cause" reason would require a review of the whole Clinton email scandal and whether it was appropriately handled. They would then have to investigate the issues related to the FBI's Trump/Russia FISA application and Clinton and the DNCs involvement in the Steele dossier and GPC. I can't wait to see their questioning of Page, Strzok, Lynch, Clintonx2 and Obama (not that I expect the Dems to be anywhere near fair in this process). If the House impeaches Trump and ignores these important issues then the Senate would hold a trial. It would be truly fascinating to see the cross examination of Loretta Lynch with regards to her discussions with Comey, and the tarmac meeting with Bill. Senator Graham is already saying the FBI/FISA issue will be investigated in the Senate, but, Ohhh... it would be so much sweeter to see this occur as a referral from the Democrat run House.

DOJ policy says that a sitting president cannot be indicted. Mueller is bound. Mueller could not have recommended indictment of Trump.

And you knew that, because many of us told you this repeatedly.

Smug dishonesty is ugly. So please stop doing it.

So impeach him and then prosecute him. It isn't that complicated.

I know. That was always the point. I didn't go into detail as I have in other threads, but the whole joke you make in the thread is absurd.

This is always what it would be and always what I said it will be: collusion isn't a focus and he's not saying anything about indictments on Trump.

That said, we only have Barr's summary. There may or may not be a bunch of stuff that could be considered for impeachment. But then, I've also always said there's no way forward for your political enemies there. The GOP controls the senate. I cannot imagine at this point what could possibly convince enough of them that if (ignore the if for this) Trump were impeached, he would actually get convicted in the senate.

But the joke routine you guys keep running is absurd. There was every reason to investigate this (again, as I/we have said). He surrounded himself with criminals, many of whom were up to their eyes in Russia. He was persuing through others a deal on a Moscow tower at times that he had previously denied doing so under. The Trump Tower meeting would actually have been "links and/or coordination with the Russian government" if only the Russian wasn't lying to play him for a fool.

30+ indictments. Several convictions. A bigger report.

No witch hunt. Just a disappointment to any who insisted he must be guilty all along. Then again, so too to the ones who said he is innocent. Barr: it does not exonerate Trump.

I suppose its a good thing that dumb threads only take up minor space in the database.

No, but it's very much easier said than done, and you should know that.

I and many others realize Trump is a crook and raised with mob influence, but that could be said about many in his station in life.

Assuming that Schiff, Nadler and the others have all the goods they profess to have it won't be a problem at all. They've been in on investigations parallel to Mueller and beyond what Mueller was looking at. They should have more than enough to get rid of Trump...unless they're simply talking out their collective asses.

At age 71 I have reached the point where I don't believe a damn word any of them say.

I've known from the start that the Russiagate narrative was a hoax, but I'm no fan of Trump, at all.

If the tables get turned, and those in the FBI and DOJ who brought this hoax are punished for the fraud, it would be fine with me.

DOJ policy is that a sitting president cannot be indicted, and Mueller lacks authority to change that policy.
