Ancient Giants On Earth?

Why would such knowledge be a threat to anyone?

Some fear knowledge of giants on earth just as they fear the knowledge that aliens have visited this planet and likely are still on it today. It is knowledge that some fear. Yes, as you suggest, powerful people do not want this knowledge to become mainstream because of its implications for conventional theories regarding human history.

"There used to be big people" doesn't upend any theories though.

I absolutely beleive there was a chance that tthere was freak giants but im not sure about a whole race. Maybe 2 peoples genetics just met some weird crazy criteria and it produced a giant, like when a lion and a tiger breed together. Or maybe 20,000 years ago we had sasquatche type "things" that had a slight chance to breed with humans. I think vikings had lore of giant beast men raping women and making super hero type men.

They say there used to be an ancient island with a tribe of giant men... (if they did exist at one point in time they would have been killed / captured by some king and wed prolly never know about it) Just like their might be an ancient immortal dragon bound hidden underground somewhere is King Atlantis' basement.

Is there a CT that he won't believe in? If there were giants on Earth long ago why would it need to be kept quiet, who started keeping it quiet, how did they persuade others to keep it quiet and how is the secret kept? It's lunacy.

No. Giants are either tall people, or bull**** used by racists who didn't want to believe Native Americans built civilisations.

Giants still exist. I am the shortest giant in the world.

That depends upon how open-minded a person is. What threatens some is no threat at all to another.

Is there any idiotic and insane conspiracy theory you don't buy into?

Oh, **** it. Don't answer. I know that if someone started a thread mocking the idea that the solar system was created by farting unicorns, you'd be there in half a second to allege that anyone mocking the idea must actually be a "afraid" of "knowledge", then something something elites something something authority something illuminati something blah blah blah....

I know a lady who believes Ancient Giants were real, and that there's a massive world-wide cover-up to keep it quiet.
She told me to check it out on the internet. So, I googled.

There's plenty of links to all kinds of "information".

Thoughts?

Were there once "giants" on planet Earth?
Is there a concentrated effort by some elite group of powerful people trying to keep it quiet?
If so, why? What's to fear about an extinct line of giants?
Or, are they extinct?
It's all relative

If giants had existed then why would it have to be kept a secret? What profit would there be in that?

There was once a race of fifty feet high humans who built all the mountain ranges on Earth but they don't want you to know that

Science doesn't care what one believes is a threat to it.

Name one theory that is upended by this nonsense. Then identify one person or one scenario in which someone stands to gain... anything from covering up the mythical giants.

Because that's what your vague "well anyone could perceive a threat" cop out requires. Someone out there who believes they stand to gain something from hiding giants. Does hiding giants make someone rich? Powerful? Enough to somehow coordinate or threaten archaeologists worldwide, for centuries, to suppress their findings?

The trouble with conspiracy theories that involve scientific research is that you somehow have to get the vast majority of that entire field to play along with it. The Russian government suppresses the findings about giants but what does some random archaeologist in South Africa gain from this?

If people know about the giants, they might also know about the farting unicorns. And then they (or is it them) won't be able to use nano-thermite to fake a terrorist attack to get us into Iraq for oil we never actually got around to taking. Or something.

I really have to wonder how it is that people manage to consider themselves so much more clever than everyone else because they "ask questions" about a so-called official story, but never actually bother to identify a goal a conspiracy might actually want to achieve (let alone a goal it ever achieved).

If indeed these giants DID in fact breed with ordinary human females, then a smattering of that DNA would still be puttering around the globe today, and instead of one seven foot tall human for every one and a half million births, you'd see two or three eight or ten foot tall humans for every 500,000 births...or something like it.

Science has already established that there's a teensy bit of Neanderthal DNA lurking in several races, so it would stand to reason that so called "Nephilim" or "Philistine" DNA would be around, too.
Also, by this point, attempts to extract DNA from any samples still available would have been made, and we'd be hearing about it just as surely as we're hearing about mastodon and mammoth DNA.
Add to that the probability that we might have unearthed one or more "preserved" giants. Where is their DNA?

It's just too convenient that everything is always "destroyed" or "hidden in restricted evidence rooms at the Smithsonian".
My cousin works for the Smithsonian. I'll ask him if such a thing as "restricted evidence rooms" even exist.
The Smithsonian employs scientists. Scientists of that type generally aren't keen on coverups.

I'm not saying that it is impossible for a race of giants to have existed, I'm saying that the subject is all too inviting for 19th and early 20th century fakery, probably the kind which was immensely profitable to those who spun the yarns.

Much like the worldwide flood, legends of Giants exist in almost every culture in the world. From the bible to ancient texts of India, the vedas to native American folklore to ancient Greece. Usually myths and legends begin with a grain of truth, then added to and exaggerated.
Yup, in addition to floods and giants- you also have evil eyes (which are tied in with the gorgon myth), vampires, spirits, and demons. All near universal myths of mankind.

The Twilight franchise is propaganda in case of the inadvertent exposure of the Vampire Overlords!!!

Asking stupid questions would be nearer the mark.

You can't win with Ct fans. They will say that your cousin is in on the cover up.

I guess since he works at the National Museum of the American Indian, it's certainly possible, isn't it?

I thought that the giant myths grew from discoveries of dino fossils, and people trying to explain these huge bones. Like the cyclops skulls.

The average height of men in most ancient races has been between 5' 2" and 5' 6", with females being a few inches shorter.

We are not talking Jack and the Beanstalk giant here but, anyone 6' and above in those times would have been considered a giant by them.

Add to that there are numerous graves sites that have yielded remains of men between 8' and 10', such as in the mysterious mounds across North America. Also in graves at Marion County, West Virginia or the remains found along the Arizona-Nevada-California wasteland of recovered remains of several "giants" with heights ranging from eight to nine feet.

Giant is a relative term, is Shaquille O'Neal a giant or just a very tall man?

All have changed and evolved over time also. I watched a documentary on the history channel, "Secrets of the Vampire." It delved into the history of vampires, quite enlightening. How we view vampires today began with Bram Stoker who combined many myths and legends into one to write the story of Dracula.

Goliaths sword was twice as heavy as this sword. (From David and Goliath)
