Like most folks I know that there are things out there that the government doesn’t tell the people such as about the overthrow of Mohammed Mossadeq of Iran in 1953, the secret deal to remove Jupiter Missles from Turkey after the Cuban missile crisis. These are things that are either embarrassing for the government or done to preserve plausible deniability. But then there is conspiracy created by professional conspiracy theorists to completely distract the American people from things that could seriously benefit them.
Examples of harmful conspiracy theories:
1) 9/11 was an inside job.
There isn’t any proof for this at all. There are videos released by the media showing Osama Bin Laden bragging about the attacks. Bin Laden wanted to drag the US into a serious of unwinnable wars that will bankrupt the US. The US today has $21 trillion in debt on 9/11 it was less than $7 trillion. The debt since 9/11 has tripled in size. Yet the wars have produced zero tangible benefits for the US.
2) the Bilderberg Group/Trilateral Commission/the Illuminati
You would think with an ardent listener of Alex Jones in the White House in Trump. Trump can unwind the global conspiracies. But instead the supposed conspiracies have grown in size and proportion according the conspiracy under rock and behind every tree crowd among the Jones crowd.
As I said from the beginning the real conspiracy is that one that allows the growth of unchecked wealth into a smaller group of the super wealthy. The creation of a tiny kleptocratic minority ruling over a vast population of people living in desperate circumstances. The tax cuts cemented this inequality and made it even worse.
It’s no conspiracy, the ruling elite have wanted this since the time of FDR and his New Deal. They worked over decades to push the US back to the 1900s in terms of social mobility and economics. We have an extremely financially illiterate population that doesn’t understand that the real conspiracy is the one in government and economy was completely controlled by a tiny minority.
