I dont speculate, other than to say things dont add up. Why would you put bump fire stocks on rifles with bipods? Why would you have notes calculating wind and distance when all you are doing is spraying and praying. Hell, for that matter, why have scopes at all, since the shooter wasnt firing single rounds. How did the body end up where it did...physically impossible for it to have fallen and landed the way it did. How did he shoot himself in the head, fall backwards, bounce, yet still have a rifle upright on a bipod fully over your shin and ankles. As for the tactical questions...forget about that...the tactical questions would drive you crazy. What happened to the hard drives on the computers? And why did the Vegas police announce first that they found child porn on his computer...the computer that didnt have a had drive. Why was the timeline so screwed up? Why did the story regarding the hotel security guard keep changing? A million more. And they may all have an explanation.
Maybe the fact that he isn't a combat expert contributed to his choice of accessories. After all, don't we mock mall ninjas that put all sorts of junk on their rifles when they don't know what half the stuff they put on are, much less know how to implement them in a useful manner.
I'm having a hard time picturing what you're trying to describe. As for the bipod thing, maybe when he shot himself the rifle wasn't on a stable platform and slid off when he fell. There's also the fact that the SWAT team made entry and since they aren't really that concerned about preserving evidence while clearing the rest of the room, moved either the body of gun in their clearing process.
