I don’t see this anywhere, but I was poking around and this popped up on a search. Can this be true? And if not, how the **** can they get away with this???

 
It looks like a fabrication to me, using pictures from another arrest. Now this is what fake news is.

I just pulled it up on Snopes. False. How do these organizations get away with this??

Some accounts put the second shooter as the security guard. Snopes says it's false. Add to that that LV police cars have white trunks, I'm for now going with bogus.

Unfortunantly, the person is responsible to sift through the B.S.

The days of hard and credible news are long behind us. Walter Cronkite is rolling in his grave.

And there seems to be a dark cloud of dumb-ass floating over our nation that has been carefully crafted and targeted to the under-informed and gullible. I would simply refer to the helpful hints in your post, on the other thread, addressing how to identify fake news B.S. All the signs were there. (Well, most of 'em.)

The intellectual laziness of portions of our populous has landed us all in a situation. I don't think anyone realized there might be that many of them to be counted as significant. Yet, here we are.

I remember, when most of just started, the big fake news scam floating around was underarm deodorant causing cancer.

I think, recalling fake news stories, and chronicaling them in a thread is worthy of a thread.

It would give us an oppertunity to reflect and look back and see just what BS we believed and "shared."

It would give the members an idea who is and who is not full of crap, here at DP.

It would generate a lot of "neener-neener's" too.

Not that I think anyone would learn from their mistakes but it would be rather interesting, none the less.

As a general rule of thumb this is why I don't use YT for news.

CTs are not held to the same standards as regular news organizations and they just put together grainy crap videos to increase traffic, and that's all they care about. Some of them do like to stick with partisan agendas tho.

They target their audience using the bait that particular audience prefers to ingest. Some call that 'red meat.'

It wouldn't surprise me any if, in the office next door to the rightwing propaganda fake news site, there is a leftwing fake news site. Further, it wouldn't surprise me any if the same people owned them both and renting under the same lease.

I recall reading, some time back, an interview with a guy who made big bucks pushing the fake news click bait smut. He said he tried pushing it in various ideologies. Liberal bias. Conservative bia. All points in-between. He said the money was in pushing it to the rightwing bias audience. He commented the liberals didn't respond to his fake news enough to make it profitable. So, he went with the money. I wish I could find that article. Even though it makes perfect sense, I would still like to check the validity of that claim.

Maybe the responsibility does, but the harm it does falls squarely on the shoulders of that security guy. Christ. He’s probably he’s probably getting death threats.

I don't see that.

I see Maggie as someone who has woken up and starting to smell the coffee.

Her heart was always in the right place and she wanted to believe.

We know a LOT more now than we did back then.

At least Maggie has the courage to step forth and open her mind and look at things with fresh eyes.

I see Maggie as a flower on the cusp of blooming and I'm proud of her.

She's my girl. ;)
 
Doesn't matter if this has been shown to be fake, Cters will use it to confirm their beleifs

I don’t take offense about people’s opinions about Trump, I take offense at the juvenile name-calling of the POTUS and thinly veiled infraction teetering language calling me and others idiots, treasonous and many other combinations of names.

Mind explaining what your final sentence means? It’s completely lost on me.
