The LV Shooter

Not really my idea of a "normal relationship" but that is beside the point.

Motivations are notoriously difficult to unravel. We are often hard put to explain why we ourselves do things.

Why am I writing this comment? To bring enlightenment to the bewildered? To relieve boredom? To show off to the great MaggieD? Or because of some dark personality flaw of which I am unaware?
 
Perhaps his motive was as simple as the announcement that, "I was here. I lived."

As a solitary, intensely private and secretive individual, maybe all he wanted was an acknowledgement that his life mattered.

Maggie, lots of high count murderers have no motive other than they felt like it. Bundy for one. There were a couple of derelict hobos a few years back that killed a couple hundred random people with no motive. I can think of several others. It doesn't seem like that far a stretch to he LV killing.

The motive can be as simple as a suicidal person deciding to go out in a blaze of glory to just hating music. Or a specific person being targeted.

Here's a list I've put together of the various 'theories' as to why a 64-year-old white guy decided to kill as many people as he could at one time.

Conspiracy Theories and 'Explanations' for the Las Vegas Shooting

1) He WASN’T the murderer – he was set up! One person who called in to the radio show The Savage Nation, claimed to have been his neighbour, said Paddock was a “really nice guy” who “waved all the time”. Other 'neighbours' however, described Paddock as being withdrawn and seldom speaking to people.

2) Paddock was an “ISIS soldier” Within a few hours of the shooting, ISIS sent out yet another propaganda piece claiming that Paddock had recently converted to ISIS version of Islam. 2a) Paddock may not have been a Muslim but he thought the same as most of them - "Kill the unbelievers!!".

3) Anti-Trump and sick of America Chose the concert in Las Vegas because it was country music and the fans are predominately Trump supporters. This one is being promoted by GOP House candidate in Idaho, Michael Snyder.

4) False Flag operation funded by Soros A favourite of Alex Jones and his acolytes. Related to this is the claim by Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) that march in Charlottesville was a Soros operation to turn people against 'real Americans'. Real Americans to the Representative seem to be only those of European descent.

5) Rise of atheism caused God to punish America. Paddock was chosen by God to punish us for not being real believers. Yet research shows that Americans are more religious than the citizens of all other developed nations, while America has higher crime rates, including mass shootings. Pew Research found that 53% of Americans believe that without belief in God, a person cannot have good moral values.

6) Paddock was 'mind-controlled' by a Deep State secret group. Two sides to this theory, one side says the group is a Democrat operation to promote gun-control and eventual socialist takeover of the nation. The other side says it is a Trump support organisation that caused this shooting with the goal of convincing 'real Americans' they must stand with Trump as he rounds up, not only all those illegals but also antifa and other leftist mobs.

7) Too much violence in the media and video games but firearms aren't the problem. Rick Santorum speaking on CNN's "State of the Nation" thinks it's all the violent entertainment which warped the mind of a 64 year old white male.

8) Abortion!! Jeffrey Lord, on Hannity's radio show, blamed abortion because such "violence" causes people to lose respect for a Christian "culture of life".

Personal opinion is either a mental breakdown or a final playing out of "I don't give a ****! Kill 'em! Got all these guns, might as well use them."

Pretty much my thoughts. It appears he had very few real/emotional/meaningful human contacts, combined with a complete lack of empathy and probably weariness of a meaningless life. He probably only felt stimulated/alive with adrenaline rushes, hence the flying and high stakes gambling. I suspect that eventually wore off and he moved to planning something like this which fueled his need till the conclusion in LV.

I disagree, I and family enjoyed our visit to Sweden - did not find it boring, but then I had Swedish friends who introduced us to local fun.

He like to act out rapes with his prostitutes.

I really dislike answers like that. You were asked by more than one person to provide your source and the link to the article. The failure to do so is disrespectful, deceptive, and does not lead to further debate discussion. It is helpful to read the same information you used to come to your belief.

Tired of spoon feeding people who really want to stay ignorant (or pretend to be ignorant). So easy to Google "crisis actors" and look around.
I don't even remember which particular article that first informed me of the existence of "crisis actors.

Of course establishment shills can't believe anything that challenges the establishment narrative.
Shills play dumb to the significance of Operation Mockingbird.

More and more I agree with Paul who said "let the ignorant stay ignorant" ....
