I have noticed that these idiots have completely vanished from the interwebs, only lurking where once all CTs lurked. Anti-FEMA idiots see FEMA in action and run away. :lamo.

It must be tough trying to smear a whole organization when it's helping your friends and neighbors right in front of you, and that's constantly being shown on live TV not putting people in concentration camps. Where are the loyal crusaders now?

They're applying for FEMA assistance, that where they are.

Since there's no longer a black guy at the top of the government their fear has largely subsided. My family and their church community were so convinced Obama was the anti-christ. They're really quite disappointed the end times never happened.

What's an anti-FEMA person? Do they call themselves "Antife" and protest somewhere? Do they show up to counter protest pro-FEMA protesters?

What is this creature of which you speak?

Okay, so I looked it up. It appears it started decades ago and some of it links to Oliver North and an older 1970's documented that proposed a plan to instill martial law and round up black people. It gained traction under GWB, after 9/11, but has dropped off some in the past few years. It doesn't appear that Obama had a big influence on it.

Interesting stuff.

It didn't start under Obama, but it saw a tremendous uptick during his presidency. A good example of this was when they wrapped the "Jade Helm" conspiracy into FEMA death camps.
FEMA 'Death Domes' Popping Up Across Texas Raise Alarm As Jade Helm 15 Invades Southwestern America With Texas Listed 'Hostile'

With Jade Helm 15 coming to Texas, Utah, California and 4 more southwestern states for 'summer exercises' between July 15 and September 15 this year, numerous 'FEMA Domes' that are being rushed to completion across the state of Texas in locations such as Lumberton, Brownsville, Pancho Maples and Kingsville are raising alarm with many who view these structures as potential 'FEMA death domes', used to house 'insurgents' following the red and blue list round-up of gun owners, Christians and patriotic supporters of America and the US Constitution.

There were varying degrees of this paranoia but the most popular one, especially among many of my family and relatives was that Obama hated Christians and gun owners and wanted to enslave them and declare himself permanent king of the US.

That didn't happen around here -- and, I'm glad. At least I didn't hear about it if it did happen. It sounds as if the biggest uptick was after 9/11, and I know there are still a lot of 9/11 conspiracy theorists out there that might be into that type of thing.

People who buy into a strong anti-government stance don't seem to recognize that Presidents really don't have as much power as they think to suspend the Constitution. Obama wasn't my favorite President but nothing he did suggested he'd suspend the Constitution. I think conspiracies like this are based in not understanding the way our executive branch really works. Or, perhaps some people just love to scare themselves and plan for the worst. I remember hearing the Jade Helm thing and thinking -- what a lot of nonsense.

Antife, huh. I like that.

What you say about your family and the irrational fear running deep through it explains much of your political and social interpretations and opinionating, it might seem. I had a friend with a stoutly devout Catholic mother that hated the French and Blacks and bikinied 'sluts' and a father, who came back from five years hard labor after defeat at Stalingrad a morosely broken man. It was so sad, how it formed him. ;)

Once again I have absolutely no idea what the hell any of this means. It feels like you just vomit out unrelated and nonsensical platitudes because you don't have anything better to say.

Having watched the paranoid idiocy of people close to me I do recognize that it's real and more popular than most people realize.

I think you might want to look up a few more sources. Without the circumstances into which the more precisely described measures were taken, the descriptions miss the essentials. Washington burning requires a different response than foreign organized terror or nonlinear war waged on the country.

Just like most conspiracy theories, the vast majority of people think it's stupid and untrue. There are only a handful of people out there who believe stuff like this. Where are they now? Probably congregating with their nutter buddies trying to come up with their next dumbass theory.

Jade Helm was probably one of the most idiotic CTs I've ever heard of. People were yelling at me because I didn't know what Jade Helm was and wondered why I wasn't worried about it. I don't know why these people make up crap to be worried about. Must be psychological.

There are actually threads here at DP about how Obama wasnt going to leaver office and about how FEMA was cosntructing concentration camps and stock piling body bags for the overthrow of the republic.

There are a lot of USGOC theorists for sure, but those are largely people who know little to nothing about the events or science of 911. Those who do know about these things know the USGOCT is a complete fable.
