In this post I'll lay down my reasoning for believing that Seth Rich was not the victim of the supposed 'robbery gone bad', as the Washington DC P.D. have guessed.

1. Rich was shot twice in the back.

2. Despite robbery being listed as the motive, none of Rich's valuables were taken, including a smartphone, wallet, watch, and necklace. Only an amateur armed robber shoots their victim without taking anything.

3. Police blamed the murder on a 'rash of robberies in the area'. Yet none of the other victims were shot or killed, which means that the robbers working that neighborhood were not the amateur type I spoke about.

4. Total reward money to date offered for information leading to the killer(s) is $520,000. If Rich's murder was a robbery gone bad (implication being that someone from one of DC's black neighborhoods was the killer) I guarantee that someone would have turned in the killer by now. People from the ghetto are generally reluctant to speak with police, unless there is a significant reward offered. For half a million dollars, they'll turn their mama in.

5. Wikileaks offered $20,000 for information leading to the arrest of the killer, in August 2016. They don't offer cash rewards for run of the mill robberies gone bad. Assange has hinted that Seth Rich was a contributor to Wikileaks, as he did with Bradley Manning. No one doubted that Manning leaked for Wikileaks, yet CNN has devoted much time and resources into trying to convince the world that Rich didn't leak for Wikileaks. Why?

Let's see, how could this be a failed robbery, well, maybe it had to do with the fact that he may have fought back and that the gunshot had been picked up by an automated shooting microphone and within approximately 1 minute of the gun having gone off the police was standing by the body?

And if you planned to rob someone, he fought back and you shot him, knowing there are shooting microphones and hearing the police car blaring hims blues and two's within seconds of having shot the man, you may do the smart thing which is RUN LIKE HELL.

And when RUNNING LIKE HELL from the police, being in the possession of the man's property would be as good as a "ticket to life in jail" so there is a very good chance this was a botched robbery, especially as there is zero evidence of it being anything else.

As written the OP is pure speculation.

Martin Shkreli? Seriously? When they get through with him I doubt he will have 2 nickels to rub together. Of course he is a man of great integrity and virtue. LOL! Shouldn't this be in the "jokes' section.

What difference does it make where the reward money comes from? A crew of bumbling robbers with itchy trigger fingers would never escape their own neighbors or friends turning them in for half a million. I doubt anyone in Anacostia knows who Martin Shkrelli is, besides from the Wu Tang thing.

A group of forensic psychology instructors and graduates studied the Seth Rich shooting. Their conclusion; Rich's killer is either a serial killer, or hired hitman.

Seth Rich Update: DNC Staffer Murdered by Serial Killer, Not in Botched Robbery, Report Claims

I think that is your conclusion, not theirs.
From your article......
-----------------------

"As for the conspiracy theories, the Profiling Project says those are unfounded, given that Rich did not die immediately at the scene: “A professional killer, whose sole job would have been to terminate Seth, did not accomplish their mission prior to escaping.”

“If this were a professional hit person, they failed,” says Doherty, the team member. “Nothing we’ve seen supports [the theory of] an assassin.

I guess you forgot to read your own link.
So much for truth.

They work for the DNC, who'd expect anything more than failure? :lamo

But seriously, police said Rich was still conscious when they arrived on scene. If he was capable of speaking, what do you think he said? Did he tell them it was a robbery, or that he never saw his assailant? So little information has been released in this case.

I dunno, submit a public disclosure request for the initial report of the responding officers

I'm guessing you.
Why else would you cite an article if you didn't feel the info therein was reliable?

I have no idea.
Speculation seems to be your forte.

Nice to see this in the CT thread where it belongs. Also nice to see that scumbag Shkreli convicted. Civil suits to come.

Do you believe that your government hasn't ever endorsed violence against American citizens? I'd say that defies what we already know.

Me too, but what will it mean in the long run? Shkrelli may have reason to be flippant about his sentence; Jordan Belfort was convicted of fraud too, served a light sentence, and ended up with a book deal and a hit Martin Scorsese film. Not bad for ripping off hundreds of millions of dollars.

How can anyone be sure that you didn't kill him?

I think it is a very interesting point that nobody has stepped forward to attempt to claim any part of that large reward, and I wonder how long does it take to go through the pockets of a dead man and recover cell phone and other valuables.

Seth Rich was a DNC staffer who was mysteriously murdered on July 10, 2016, in Washington, D.C. after having been shot twice in the back. None of the valuable items in his possession seem to have been stolen. That would seem to rule out robbery. He had no known enemies and the murder occurred early in the morning (4:20 a.m.) in a safe neighborhood of the city. No one was ever arrested or prosecuted for the crime. There were no known witnesses to the murder. Nor to my knowledge were any suspects ever named. Local law enforcement nevertheless suggested his murder was part of a botched robbery. Six days after the murder, Wikileaks published over 19,000 emails and 8,000 attachments from the DNC files. In November of that year, they published over 8,000 more emails from the files. The emails showed that party officials favored Clinton over rival Bernie Sanders.

Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks, long embroiled in a lengthy effort to avoid extradition to the U.S. from the U.K., has refused steadfastly to name the source of this material but has hinted on Dutch television that it was Seth Rich. He has repeatedly said the Russian government was not the source.

Persons familiar with such things have examined the rate of data transmission, inter alia, and concluded the DNC system was not hacked by outsiders. Instead, they contend that the files were copied to a storage device like a thumb drive and transmitted to Assange’s Wikileaks.

The usual MSM and lefty internet sites dismissed these claims as “fake news” and the claimants as “conspiracy theorists.” Robert Mueller seems to have played along with them by indicting a number of Russian intelligence agents for hacking these files. If this were intended to cover up the truth it would be a convenient way to do it, for it is extremely unlikely any of these agents would appear here to contest the allegations in the indictment. (This was not the first time the Russian Collusion fairytale was fanned by a Mueller stunt like this. Mueller indicted a number of Russian firms and individuals for attempting to influence the 2016 election. Only one showed up to contest the charges, Concord Management and Consulting, and the Department of Justice dropped the charges against it.)
