Apparently CERN Scientist were investigated for this " prank ".

Thats a statue of Shiva in the courtyard at CERN, the Hindu God, " the destroyer of worlds."

Someone want to explain how this is a prank on any level ? So the " prank " was to hold a mock human sacrifice in the dead of night ?

Who exactly was the recipient of the prank ? The guy video taping it ?

The millions of viewers who watched it and thought it was real. The guy recording the video was in on it, not the recipient of the prank.

This sort of thing goes on all the time. People love to try and get their videos to go viral, massive hits on YouTube equals $$$$

I dont have a problem with good natured pranks, but there's nothing remotely funny about a mock human sacrifice

It was tastless and rather stupid, and done by people who were smart enough to know better.

Even this guy who put together the you tube is full of crap. At the end he shows a billboard from The Satanic Temple mentioning CERN is still accused of some sort of satanic rituals.

The Satanic Temple is not a Satan worshipping organization. It is a secular humanistic political organization. Religious freedom is one of it's main objectives, in particular when it is obvious that politicians and the state are favoring Christianity.
