50 Years on and Still Shrouded in Mystery

I post this link here rather unwillingly because forum rules disallow posting it in the Mid-East international Politics section where it rightfully belongs. On June 8th it will have been 50 years since the repeated Israeli attacks on the NSA operated ship the USS Liberty. As of 2006 the US Government was still very concerned with keeping this tragic chapter of the Six-Day War silenced in the hopes it will be forgotten. My condolences and sympathies to the gallant crew and their families for the misery they have been put through in the name of national security by both Israel and their own government. One day the truth will come out.

Thank you for posting that.

The truth is already out on this matter, but it is actively suppressed by the Navy/Pentagon and the mainstream media. I seriously doubt any of the mainstream media will cover this anniversary. Many americans are threatened by the truth, allergic to it.

Over the last week or so, I have not noticed a single mainstream media piece regarding the attack on the Liberty. No memorial offered for those US sailors killed and wounded by Israeli boats and aircraft. I guess some US servicemen are more deserving of memorials than others?

Did notice last night on NBC however, that on the First Anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub a number of memorial actions were made, complete with TV interviews with a number of the same people so happily filmed last year, people that appear to be crisis actors and those charged with retelling the sordid story, a story that was shown to be a staged event before a week had gone by.

Yes Modern Americans, you will have Pulse and a few other staged events pounded into your collective memory, BUT NOT A WORD from the mainstream media regarding the deliberate Israeli attack on the Liberty and the casualties suffered there.

It seems some sort of double standard is being applied. Never Forget stories in which muslims are supposedly the bad guy, Never Remember stories in which Israelis were the bad guys.

Is the public perception being manipulated? Is history being edited?
