I've created threads in the past about this subject, and now we have proof that the CIA has been working on methods of hacking automobile computer systems, with the intent of using that capability to kill the occupants of a vehicle.

One of the 8,761 internal CIA documents leaked by WikiLeaks on Tuesday reveals that the agency’s Center for Cyber Intelligence has been exploring methods to hack into vehicle systems since at least 2014. As WikiLeaks noted in its release accompanying the documents, “The purpose of such control is not specified, but it would permit the CIA to engage in nearly undetectable assassinations.”

....this information raises new troubling questions about the car crash that killed journalist Michael Hastings in June of 2013.

Hastings, who was 33 when he died, was the Rolling Stone reporter who wrote an article in 2010 that led to the removal of General Stanley McChrystal from his post as ranking US commanding officer in Afghanistan.

At the time of his death, Hastings was investigating another major figure within the Obama administration’s military and intelligence apparatus, then-CIA Director John Brennan.

Hastings had informed his colleagues that he was under government surveillance. He also suspected that his own vehicle had been tampered with, having asked a neighbor to lend him a car.

It's no secret that Hastings, once a darling of the liberal mainstream media, had become loathed by them at the time of his death, for his expose, 'Why Democrats Love to Spy on Americans'.

I believe that Barack Obama's director of the CIA, John Brennan, ordered Michael Hastings to be killed.

Far too much of a small potato to go to the trouble of murdering him. And we don't murder people here that expose alleged secrets. Not yet anyway.

Far fetched to say the least.

I'm not positive, but I think I read that Hastings was also close to finishing a big story on JSOC and General McChrystal. Whether the CIA or some military group, Hastings was taken out because he was too close to exposing some powerful individuals.

Nothing is too far fetched for the conspiracy theorists.

And I believe that your theory is nonsense. Seeing as we didn't whack people like Snowden, Assange or Manning--- people who have done far more damage to the US than this Hastings individual--- there is no logical reason why the US government would have done so.

Of course the left, who have been in full CT mode on all things Trump, will reject this out of hand. Any intellectual curiosity the left has vanishes when it comes to questioning one of their own. But watch what happens if some intrepid young reporter turns up dead during the trump years

"Intellectual curiosity" falls short when it comes up against the brick wall of reality. There is simply no reason why the US government would whack this guy and let people who had done much worse harm to the US go on breathing. It just doesn't add up.

That's strange because I'm not positive, but I think I read that Hastings was also close to finishing a big story on Pilots for truth and Jeff Prager as well as some other big CT loons that would expose them all for the frauds they are. . Whether the one CT group or another, Hastings was taken out because he was too close to exposing some mentally deficient individuals.

Heck writing for CT sites is more than enough to discredit somone. No need for assasinations.

Hastings' close friend, Cenk Uygar from the Young Turks has basically stated what I did, that the CIA murdered his friend. Uygar is about as opposite politically from me as a person can get.

I would argue that its very naive to believe that the CIA kills people abroad, and not here. Wikileaks may be our greatest hope for determining exactly what crimes are being committed on American soil, by our own government.

Snowden- can't be assassinated as he fled the US before he could be imprisoned or killed.
Assange- cant be assassinated without drawing extreme suspicion.
Manning- was a big contributor to WikiLeaks, and again, assassinating him would have drawn suspicion, the way that Seth Rich's case is now raising eyebrows.

Hastings wasn't illegally releasing classified information, so those who feared him couldn't very well arrest and imprison him. So they killed him instead.

You don't think the US could arrange a hit on Snowden if we really wanted to? Even in Russia, there's plenty of people who will kill for money.

Seeing as there's zero proof that Seth Rich was contract killed, the only eyebrows that are really being raised are those of those so desperate to finally have proof for their fantasies of a Clinton Criminal Cartel that they'd believe just about anything.

You think. You don't actually have any proof.

I tend to be skeptical when someone claims that the CIA killed someone with experimental or theoretical tech.

Someone needs to put together an Obama Death List. They can start in Indonesia where someone gave his mother cancer, probably to keep her from revealing his true birthplace.

Doing so would play right into the Russian's hands, and cause an enormous surge of mistrust in the American government, worldwide. So, no.

Julian Assange all but said that Rich was a source for WikiLeaks. As Jimmy Dore from the Young Turks said, 'Assange has a better record of telling the truth, than the Washington Post, and New York Times'. Dore is a respected liberal commentator.

If the motive for Seth Rich's murder was robbery, then why wasn't his wallet taken? Why wasn't his cellphone taken? Why was he shot in the back?

You think. You don't actually have any proof.

WikiLeaks has said that they're working on putting together information that will lead to the prosecution of Rich's killers. They've put up a $20,000 reward for information, that will entice someone into coming forward. Money talks, bull**** walks.

People already mistrust the US government---quite a bit, actually. If the US government is that evil that it'll just randomly whack people, there's no reason why it wouldn't arrange for something to happen to Snowden.

Julian Assange has an agenda. As history shows, the truth can stretch quite a bit before it becomes a lie.

Why should I care what Jimmy Dore thinks?

Somebody ****ed up. They thought about robbing him, got cold feet, and then shot him. Then they got spooked--- maybe somebody heard the shot(s) and took off. Or Rich made a break for it, the guy panicks and shoots him in the back, and then takes off because he just blew a dude away.

If it was a hit staged to look like a robbery, why on earth wouldn't you go through with part two of that? The "attempted robbery goes wrong" theory makes a lot more sense than the "trained killer kills the dude but is too lazy to go through with the whole set up" theory.

Money draws bull**** like a magnet.

Killing Snowden now would be the equivalent of the Alexander Litvenenko murder. And the good ol' Murrican govment is so much more moral than the evil Russians, right? They would never commit such a blatant political assassination, wight?

Well, if they whack Snowden, they'd have to admit they're no better than the Russians. See?

Julian Assange has an agenda.

Which is?

Why should I care what Jimmy Dore thinks?

Because he's a helluva lot more of a truth seeker than you, or most of the lock- step Dems are. *Message*

I bet we can pin this on some poor black kid from the wrong side of town, amirite? Yeah, that's it. Then we can give a speech about BLM and the unfair profiling practices of the police tomorrow! Whoohoo, DNC 2017. Not your grandpa's Democratic Party!

Well at least the DNC's victim's deaths aren't being ruled a 'suicide' anymore. In the bad old days, someone would get whacked out in a park somewhere in DC, either by stabbing or gunshot wound to the back of the head, and the police would rule it a suicide.

They're slowly but surely getting more professional in how they kill people.

I wonder if you and Calamity are also skeptical of what McCoy, Webb and a host of others have written about documenting CIA involvement in the drug business? I wonder if I'll get a straight answer....

Uh, I'd suggest that you'll get no answer. I've debated this poster many times.

Which mode you in today? The 'I luv & trust my gubmint' mode? Looks like it. You'll be screamin' and hurlin' conspiracies tomorrow when there's another Trump iz Russhin Spy thread.

I'm never in a mode.

It was the Paraguayans, and you know it was.
