Let's see, who should we trust more:

1) A degreed engineer and head of the Planetary Society supporting a position backed by the entire scientific community with mountains of evidence

2) A guy on an internet forum who thinks 9/11 was an inside job and the world is controlled by lizard people

What is the point of this thread, what do you want to debate ?

1) climate change is a hoax
2) Bill Nye & the silencing of his opponents ?

If so, please link to something that shows Bill Nye trying to silence his opponents. Then, criticize the source you linked using constructive arguments & rational thoughts.

I fail to see what should be debated in this thread. Maybe try starting threads with more than just four pointless sentences ?

The US Attorney General Loretta Lynch was never a comedian, but she was just as comical when she was tossing around the idea of bringing civil charges against the anti global warming folks.

Lol! A mechanical engineer is not qualified to speak as an expert on the climate. If being an engineer or having a degree in engineering made you qualified to speak as a climate expert then you would need to accept me as an expert on the subject too. What do you think of the prospect of accepting me as an expert on the climate?

I think the point here was that while Bill Nye may not be qualified specifically on the topic in question, he would have had to have taken general science classes as well as ones for his field and that's what makes him more credible than someone who believes that the Universe is a lie, Science is bull[smurf], that Infinite Love is the only real thing around, and sees conspiracy theories behind everything no matter how insignificant.

Because I don't care about the Planetary society nor do I consider it a valid means to be qualified to speak on the subject of climate. It's also just silly to say he is qualified to speak on Climate as an expert because he happens to agree with actual experts. That's like saying someone can speak of engineering as an expert because they happen to talk to some engineers and parrot what they said.

Ok, present your mountains of evidence to the world that climate change is actually a conspiracy to dupe the gullible, then collect your nobel prize. Don't let me stop you. You don't care about evidence or scientific consensus, but you found a colorful conspiracy theorist on an internet forum that says things you like.

I will however say that Nobel Prizes in this day and age mean nothing.

The point made (and if you are responding I assume you actually watched and understand why the point was made) was that not too long ago, Bill Nye, the Pretend Science Guy ran a spot on his 'science' show that discussed the science of gender. Today...he has completely abandoned not only the science of gender but anything resembling 'reason'. He is a tool.

His 'My Vagina has a Voice" spot should be used as an anthem for the modern American left.
