CHEMTRAILS: Are these jet planes secretly spraying chemicals to REVERSE climate change? | Weird | News | Express.co.uk

chemtrails r a very scary and very probably theory. this conspiracy theory is about how the gases u see comin out of air planes is changin the weather, or attempts to make the public sick! asked myself "wallace, do u think the gvt is doin this to innocent ppl"? good question wallace this ones gonna be hard to prove. my in dept analysis and my hypothesis might be that there are major connections between an airplane in the sky and the flu virus. is this somethin we should demand answers from uncle sam? this one is a new theory for me and quite franklie a very concernin one.

what r ur thoughts. real? a threat to us? maybe not real?
 
the more i read the more plausible it sounds.

never bored when we get to read interestin theories about the gvt. chemtrails also indicate alien life forms. im readin a neat forum about aliens and chemtrails. very informative. do u research these phenomenons?

Not real. High-altitude dispersion is literally the worst possible method for distributing a chemical agent. You'd have no control over where the agent goes, where it lands, and in what concentration. The jet stream can go hundreds of miles per hour, dump stuff over the US and it might come down over the ocean... or not at all. The chemical might simply disperse so much as to be undetectable, and just break down.

Think of it this way: if you dump out a bucket of water at 30,000 feet and 600mph on a clear day, not a single drop is going to actually make it to the ground. If you want to gas a population, you do it at low altitude so the agent is more concentrated. Chemical weapons used in WW1 didn't explode at airliner altitudes, they exploded near the ground. Agent Orange was dumped by helicopters just above the trees. Cropdusters fly twenty feet off the ground.

Like many conspiracies, "chemtrails" requires that the conspirators be simultaneously smart enough to pull off a massive conspiracy without the public finding out, but also stupid enough to use such a fundamentally flawed method in carrying it out.

I am skeptical of the chemtrails things for several reasons, though I admit there might be a case.

I'm skeptical because I've spent too much time in the flight levels and observed ordinary airplanes making ordinary contrails day in and day out. I also agree with Deuce that if one is going to spray chemicals on the humans below, doing so at 30,000 feet is not the best place to do it.

If the goal is to influence the weather, and not so much the humans, then there might be a case. I did see a speech by a woman who claimed to have worked with government agencies, and she did make a pretty good case for the existence of such a program.

I'm ambivalent.

You know, this is actually my litmus test. If someone brings up chemtrails within the first week of our meeting, I walk away.

It is a particularly stupid one. I mean, the entire thing only exists because someone one day noticed that "hey, clouds sometimes look different than other clouds!!"

The issue was that sometimes those contrails last longer and/or spread out farther than "usual." So, clearly they must be something different. So, clearly they must be something sinister. But they never reassessed the null hypothesis: that it's just water vapor like any other contrail and sometimes water vapor just behaves differently in the atmosphere. Because of course it does, morons. Have you ever seen a puffy cumulus cloud? Ever see a cloud that isn't a cumulus cloud? Congratulations, you have observed this phenomenon. Different conditions create different looking clouds.

Every couple months there is a Chemtrail sighting/picture posted on my FB feed. I use it to see if any new nuts showed up.

Yup.

Now, if someone I've known quite a while, someone of established good character and trustworthy, someone who has shown themselves otherwise sensible in everything else... suddenly brings up chemtrails one day, ok I'll consider it a quirk and let it go as long as they don't obsess over it out loud too much.

I went to a BBQ one time hosted by a friend, part of the reason for which was meeting a new FOAF. I conversed with the New Guy and he seemed ok at first... but within the hour he'd brought up Chemtrails, and once brought up he would not shut up about them. Insisted on giving me a chemtrail booklet before I left.

The next day Old Friend called to ask me what I thought of New Guy. I explained the conversation and added "You do what you want, but I have no interest in having anything to do with him again."

Our Country continues to give up any and all liberty for the sake of security, which Ben Franklin had warned us about.

I never quite understood why we wouldn't have the rights to the air above our property whether it be from drones or planes. I mean if you own 5,000 acres and don't want a fly zone above it surely you should have the same rights as a US Military base in getting that to happen yet you don't... why exactly did we fight the British if only to put another puppet master at the top holding the exact same strings while adding more?

The more I think, the less plausible it sounds. I have a friend who is a pastor, an inspector for the FAA and a airline crash scene investigator. If there's anyone who would know if airplanes carried teh kind of equipment needed for this kind of thing, it would be him and he's not someone who would lie about it. One evening the topic came and his response was pretty much "You have to a VERY special kind of dumb to believe that the gov't is using this kind of thing."

If we are going to have airplanes operating in a safe and rational manner, the airspace in which they fly must be designed and controlled in a safe and rational manner. Thus individual airspace assigned to the ground below would not work in any practical way.

In fact, you can fly your drone at altitudes and in places that are not part of the national airspace system.
