with all the new information coming out about god, is it possible that he himself is gay? is this why the pope is so understanding of gay people now? maybe thats why i have always been so acceptin of them! what are ur thoughts?

Well you know there was a real problem back in the day if being gay is both great and allowed, before we made science getting babies born was going to be a problem in a gay world.

I mean that has to be it, why it was made a sin.

It was a practical matter.

No it is not that, it is a question of how many can we afford to let live the good life of being gay.

As specifically for homosexuality it is seldom mentioned in the Bible, and never approvingly, although some modern commentators offer strained interpretations proposing that the passages on homosexuality do not disapprove of the practice either.

Of course in jurisdictions where true freedom of religion prevails you can believe what you want, but in the interest of factual rigor you ought not suggest that there is a scriptural basis for acceptance of all sexual orientations.

It's for your own good we're thinking of! You know how often i hear people complain they just don't get the opposite sex? Even in the bible, women are basically just there to make babies. Now with science, you don't need them for that either!

Are these gay feelings for another deity or are they feelings for a human of the same sex as god? Hmmm, kind of leads away from the monotheism most Biblical prophecy preaches if its towards another deity.

Given He got a woman pregnant, bisexual is more like it. Or given that He is supposed to be omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, then He would be omnisexual as well.

Well, we've heard over and over again on this site how "God created homosexuals". I'm sure there are all sorts of other misconceptions being floated.

IMO, just a back-handed way to disrespect God and religion in general.
