I was wandering YouTube again and found several videos about a possible teleprompter being used by Hillary during the first debate.

Here is one of the better organized video examples:

Perhaps Hillary appeared somewhat better informed on some topics, and did so much better than expected because someone off-stage was helping her out?

What do you think?

Or perhaps Hillary did something novel for a presidential debate: she prepared. The Donald clearly did not.

That's a bit sketchy. But reports of her wearing a wire is well within the parameters of what Clinton can get away with impunity.

I think this **** is getting really stupid. Clinton looked better informed because her opponent was not in formed at all. Experience and preparation vs lack of experience and lack of preparation. Which do you think will look more informed?

They where both wearing a wire. That is because they both where wearing lapel mikes....

Well I just went through the debate video again and I noticed she looked down at her podium many times when it was her turn to respond to Trump. If there was nothing there, that seems an unnecessary (oft repeated) action.

P.S. For those who post a knee-jerk reaction, please note that this IS the "Conspiracy Theory" forum.

I am not posting it as gospel. I just think it's an interesting possible "gotcha" situation, if it ever turns out to be true.

The video is about 2 minutes long. You could at least watch it before commenting.

Who's going to investigate this? Someone that wants to end up dead in a park or a car accident? Good thread Captain, but I can't possibly see anyone getting answers as to why 2 different weasel men needed to immediately tamper with Hilary's podium and remove items from it.

Or why, as can be seen clearly over, and over, and over again in the debate video she keeps looking down at the podium as if reading something before she responds.

I noticed it because it reminded me so much of college and high school debater's looking at note cards, but didn't really think much of it at the time.

What I meant was, I don't think she could have gotten away with notes. But I saw photos of her back that appeared to show wire running up to her head somewhere.

Are they going to strip search her next time to keep her honest?

I think it's obvious from her past actions that she doesn't decide to do or not do a thing like this based on morals or ethics, but on whether or not she believes she can get away with it. It's just like cheating in high school, it's not a decision based on a lack of honesty or respect for the rules but on the belief that it can be done without being caught. Maybe the people who would report her are in the tank for her, maybe she believes her methods too covert to be detected, maybe she has researched the nuances of the law and is confident she would be able to keep any legal charges from sticking. These are reasons she would engage in such dishonest tactics, and not just cheating at a debate. Voter fraud, election rigging, she wouldn't hesitate if she believed she could get away with it, not for a second.

Now, the question that needs to be asked is: does she? Does she believe she can do these things and get away with it? In part that depends on the methods available to her, most of which we aren't aware of. But I have a hard time believing that, whatever dishonest tactic is being discussed, she would think she can't get away with it.

I think she looked better informed because she is better informed.

Perhaps Trump's poor performance is due to his inability to read.

Wait. Perhaps Google has developed teleprompter contact lenses. If they haven't, they probably will... Watch for new product announcements!

The sad part of it is that Trump is perhaps the most inept candidate in US history. He really is a horrible choice. The saddest of all is that Hillary is so disliked, so distrusted, so unwanted that many believe that subterfuge is the only way she can stay in the race and compete.

Think about that. It is plausible to many people that not only would Hillary resort to every possible trick in the book to win but that she is such a weak candidate that she needs to use full on deception to beat the worst GOP presidential candidate ever to run.

Hillary's huge character issues coupled with her inability to lead in her own party's race without organized and coordinated extra help ...ahem... and the fact that she struggles to beat a candidate like Trump makes even the hint of dodgy debate behavior a readily believable possibility.

I think it's sad that Trump is such a debilitated cocaine addict. There's video of him sniffing and wiping his nose throughout the debate.

No, seriously, just stop. Both candidates wore lapel mikes. Guess what lapel mikes have? Wires! And a box thing at the end! Not a conspiracy!

Nope. While I agree Clinton is not a good candidate, don't put all the blame on her for the constant BS and conspiracy crap from the RW and the conservative media. We've gone through this nonsense for 8 years with Obama. Everything the man did the con media turned into a conspiracy to prove he hated the US, and hated white people, or was a Kenyan Muslim, or was purposely trying to destroy the US, or belonged to the Muslim Brotherhood, or............. Never Mind. I don't have time or the desire to list 8 years of conspiracies and lies.

There was another thread that showed both candidates had lapel mics on, thus they both had wires and transmitters under their clothes.

Hillary looked like a big red firetruck slow rolling across the debate stage in first gear.

No one, no one, would be willing to strip search Hillary. She could hide an entire sound stage up her pantsuits and no one is going to say jack out of fear that they might be the one forced to look at her nekkid.

Hearing technology is such now that a candidate could easily be fitted with a hearing device (think hearing aid) that functions with Blue Tooth connective technology. Essentially anyone using a mic on a frequency that corresponds to the hearing device could talk to the hearing device user from a range of +/- 33 feet. I would guess that such a device would be of adequate range. If not, then a small receiver could be placed in the small of the back and an antenna could be extended from the device up toward the shoulder blades.

If Hillary and/or Trump used hearing assistance my money says they would have used the in-the-ear wireless Blue Tooth hearing device rather than a receiver with an antenna taped up their backs.

I'm thinking the device under Hillary's pantsuit was a transmitter for the lapel mic she wore.

Why would they do that if they have microphones on their individual podiums?

I would assume so they could move around a bit. Why does not matter, what matters is that if you look at any video of the debate, you can see the mics. With the mics being there, there has to be wires and a box.

Well I just went through the debate video again and I noticed she looked down at her podium many times when it was her turn to respond to Trump.

She was looking at her notes. No, they aren't allowed to bring notes with them but they are permitted to take notes once the debate begins. Debaters will often use the time while their opponent talks to write down their bullet points for when it is their turn to respond. They have done this in all the debates for as long as I can remember.

I agree. They never really listen to each other.

But we do need to get a definitive answer to "the wire".
