American Dictator

Yes, very tough for Japanese Americans. I must say, rounding up people and putting them in camps never crossed my mind after 9/11.

You were hostile toward people of ME and you know it: it;s human nature. Not doing anything and letting it pass is the right thing to do.

I don't know what you are talking about, you'll have to be more specific.

Oh, I'm sure you do: at that moment anybody from the Middle East was the enemy. The brother of a good friend was shot and killed in L.A. while opening up his store. Those feelings while under attack are normal; it's what you do that matters.

The same thing happened in the South during Reconstruction by radical Republicans and we still live with THAT result to this day.

Now you are really off the rails. Sorry to hear about yor friend's brother. Now, what did republicans do, beside abolish slavery over the resistance of democrats?

Wrong again: the mood toward anybody from the Middle East on 911 and for some time afterward was very hostile. The point is, now we know how people must have felt about the Japanese after the attack.

Yet we did nothing on a governmental level, despite any feelings and despite Bush being called the devil all the time. Also you venerate and excuse the actions of FDR.

Now you're grasping at a diversion. Please read up on Reconstruction.

No, we didn't do anything. That wasn't the point. The point was how people felt on 911. We didn't declare war on a country either. Neither did you anything about 911, the administration just let it drift off into a non-subject.

And I will always venerate FDR; he deserves it.

Of course. The left loves to venerate human rights violators.

Nearly every single president has made good AND bad decisions.

I think liberals/progressives/etc like FDR because of the stuff he did with the goal of helping the economy during the Great Depression, and not because of interning US citizens of Japanese heritage.

Looks like you're just putting your head in the sand.

(chuckle)

Please go back to the topic: you went way out of context with republicans saving the world from slavery.

Ronald Reagan singed off more of them than Obama, so wouldn't that mean that Reagan was The King? Absolute monarch - right?

Obama is your Messiah, on your knees!
