Hey folks, I've been ghosting the forum for a few weeks and I finally decided to join after seeing the quality of discourse here. I was a 10+ year veteran at PoliticalForum but I'm now happy to find a place that actually has rules against things like openly advocating white supremacy. My background is ten years in the US Army as a Sigint Analyst, I've got bachelor's degrees in PoliSci and Econ, and the last few years I've been quite unhappily working in the financial sector. Looking forward to debating people on military issues, geo-politics, human rights, philosophy, and many other things. Politically, I consider myself a Leftist. I sit somewhere in that nebulous gray area that is called Left Libertarianism, Mutualism, or Anarcho-Socialism, depending on how people define terms.
In terms of hobbies, I'm a writer and roleplayer/GM. I'm currently working on an alt-history Cold War technothriller in the vein of Clancy set in a world where the conflict is between the US and a victorious Nazi Germany. I run a couple of different tabletop RPG's and play in a few more. I'm a videogamer as well, on both PC and console. I'm always looking for friends to run with in multiplayer games so send me your gamer tag if you want to link up sometime in the future.
