I'm a Christian aspiring artist and writer from Eastern Europe and I've stumbled upon this online community. It seemed pretty cool, so I decided to sign up, hoping to take part in some interesting and friendly discussions about politics and various other topics. My wife adores her cats...and I have a bit of a soft spot for them myself.

My wife call our cats her "pack of carpet sharks"...….I prefer to think of them as natures little exterminators and assassins.

Indoor only; its safer and healthier for them, however, we do have a large cat patio outside they get to go into when the weather permits.

'Friendly' is a tall order, given the nature of the subject-matter being discussed, and given that most denizens of any random forum seem most interested in masturbating to their own ego. That said, as long as a person ignores and does not react to childish antics, does not go out of their way to insult the opposition, then conversations should run fairly smoothly.

I've dabled in both art and writing, but have neither published anything, nor have I ever finished anything as long as a novella. It's probably been close to a decade since I drew on a regular basis. I spend much of my actual free-time playing videogames, on here, and on YouTube.

I'm no longer there, but I joined a creative writing forum back in 2013, stayed there a few years, learned things that I had wished I learned back in my early twenties. I plan on taking advantage of the new reality of self-publishing being a thing, but I've been sitting on the same unfinished outline since the begining of last year, and I really, really, really need a laptop.

Well, for starters, I'm posting this on a PS4. Our PC is on the fritz, and when it's not, it's the main source of entertainment for myself and my twin brother. It would be extremely problematic to hog the PC all day, trying to punch out a first-draft, while leaving my brother to pass the time by counting the markings on our wallpaper.

When I had a laptop, I could write whenever I wanted, wherever I wanted. I could go visit my mother and neglect to watch whatever she's watching. My brother could use FB while I sit and stare at a blank word document all day. I used to be able to watch him play a video game while writing or posting on a forum.

I would probably be here a lot more, too. Getting into a heated discussion that requires a lot of copy-and-pasting of quotes and links is not terribly convienant on the PS4, if at all possible.

Also, no spell-check. I shouldn't need to use it, but I do, and the more I continue typing, the more I risk making a fool of myself.

Thats not mine...I used that as an example, though ours is about the same size, it isn't nearly as pretty.

Not to worry; the entire concept of a "catiyo" is wonderful, because you're right; indoor cats and those protected while outside do live longer, healthier lives!
