I'm just an old jarhead curmudgeon looking for a place to vent and hopefully educate. I am presently semi-retired working as an IT pro, but also have past experience in law enforcement, elected office, public service and running my own business. I did ten years active duty in the Marine Corps and will ALWAYS be a Marine.

"Independent" was the best choice for my political leaning...I don't fit neatly into little boxes or categories. :peace

I didn't grow up in the south but family was and to this day I can't help it but greet someone with Howdy.

I was born and raised in Ohio...but spent a lot of years in the south and southwest, among other places worldwide. I tend to latch on to the things from other cultures that suit me, making me a self-made-mutt fer shure. :)
