After being here for several days, I suppose I should make a formal “Hello.” I listed myself as conservative but do have some left-of-center viewpoints on economics. But my opinions don’t average out to “moderate.” Few things I write are “average” or “the norm.”

Some may say I take my role of devil’s advocate too literally.
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name

I use metaphors a lot. Metaphors (or poetry) is the language of the spiritual realm and I find that culture, consciously or not, uses metaphors that reflect and even predict reality.

I participate on some other forums.

WoW I read "Educated and I try to have fun".

I like that in a man.

WELCOME!

EDIT: You sound like Thomas Moore (Of Care of the Soul fame) here..."I use metaphors a lot. Metaphors (or poetry) is the language of the spiritual realm and I find that culture, consciously or not, uses metaphors that reflect and even predict reality."

Have you read him?

Welcome. Depends on who's devil you advocate for, eh?

Several months ago I ordered a pair of summer pajamas from J.C. Penney, in navy blue with a small pattern I did not recognize on the web page. Upon receiving the package, I discovered the product displayed fox hunting, with a hunter on horse accompanied by two foxhounds and a whipper on foot, also accompanied by hounds.

According to animal rights activists, foxes killed by hounds often die from multiple dog bites and in many cases are disemboweled first.

Given my general belief that there is no such thing as a coincidence, I interpreted my purchase as a mandate to use my particular skill sets as a “hunter.” So, I sit in my PJs at the computer, stalking the small minds on political forums, and eviscerating their ideas and arguments.

No, but I'll look him up.

Well, you've been given a sign? And the sign means you should stalk small minds? Good thing your skill set included sign interpretation. We can always use more shamanist interpretations here. Welcome.

I like navy blue!

I see you more as a green kind of guy.

I don't care for introduction threads either.

It seems like whenever I say hello they say goodbye.

So

Greetings From Planet Earth !

That's psychotic. I don't mean to be rude or anything, but I thought that should be clear.

It’s a Jekyll and Hyde thing. In person, I am a self-effacing and low-key Bob Newhart type. When I write, I turn into Vincent Price.
