Hello, looking forward to learning and maybe even teaching

Hello everyone, my name is Dan and I look forward to learning from you all. Maybe along the way I can even teach a thing or two. I am 55 and have finally realized two things that have impeded my ability and desire to learn, patience and being able to admit I don't know something. So with that said I'm going to butcher a saying from Yogi Berra (who thought that could be possible), learning is 90 mental and the other half is physical. So I think I'll get to reading.

Dan was taken. :). No I'm just terrible at creating cool user names and i don't necessarily agree with, or perhaps need is more accurate, the privacy. I really want to be able to pick up more ideas than my limited knowledge will provide. I will be polite and not lie so I don't feel bad using my name. Thank you for reading my post.
An example how terrible my ability to creat cool names, this name was supposed to be mmcm/ssgoldengoat. This references my time in the U.S. Navy. However the length of the name can only be 15 charactors.

How are you? I"m a teacher also ...
and would like to talk with you sometime ..
I work during day so have to be later in evening sometime if interested.
I"m a teacher at a local high school.
