Greetings all,
I am new to this forum and happy to have found it. Politics/governance, political theory and science, “realpolitik,” international relations, legal theory/application and a bunch of other related topics are my interests.
Although I do not specifically identify with a political party or ideology (dogma), most who know me and understand why I choose to live within my society/culture as I do, would classify me libertarian (well, those who know what libertarianism is anyway). This is primarily due to the fact that I do not trust the overall competency of government(s) or authority, for the most part. That said, I am always eager to develop a comprehensive understanding of the myriad systems humans use(d) to control, manage, empower and/or oppress each other and why we do it. In other words, I would never be so close minded as to reject (for instance) the great contributions of Karl or Mao, despite me looking askance at the overall social/political objectives that these men had for humanity.
Please be “forewarned” that I am very direct and won’t add “nicey nicey” to my posts for the sake of non-offence (not that I intend to offend). If you are offended or just think I am an idiot, then I want to know why. That way we can engage in some intellectual sparring with the goal of discovering any “objective” truth that serve(s) to better our(political)selves (which I think is the objective here anyway).
Thank you for reading.
