I'm Owen. I'm Irish, but due to our relatively small population of 4.5 - 6 million (depending on whether or not you count the north) and our use of PR-STV, talking politics is incredibly boring and usually one-sided. That, coupled with the fact I have close relatives both in the UK and US, has led me here.

Welcome Harbo! The size of our DP family pales compared to Ireland's. We pretty much stay open 24/7... and operate within reasonable Rules and Regulations. Two of my ancestral branches run through Ireland. I know more about the one that runs through Tyrone County ... when four brothers migrated to the USA about 1805. It takes a very discerning eye to spot the Irish in me. All grins! May our Best Times lie ahead!
