Funny how American leftists have wasted tens if not hundreds of $millions investigating how "foreign" entities, particularly the Russians, may have stolen the 2016 election from their precious Hillary and using it to delegitimize the Presidency of Donald Trump, their first claim in their impeachment fight, and yet king of the hypocrites and a non-Canadian, former President Barrack Obama, proudly tweets out an attempt at influencing the outcome of the current Canadian election by extolling the virtues of current Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Not only is it hypocritical to try to influence another country's election while claiming it's a high crime for a foreigner to attempt to influence an American election but it is equally hypocritical for a former President who cried racism every chance he could, supported in those cries by many other leftists, to lend support to a man who was caught on tape and in photos at least three times wearing blackface as a costume and a lark and who can't say with any certainty how many other times he may have done so, claiming he was so dense he didn't realize it was wrong.

If leftists ever had any principles they lived by, they abandoned them at the alter of political power long, long ago.

I’m starting to think that the word context just isn’t in the conservative dictionary.

Have your little paddy mate.

Nice try - your drive by attempt at dismissal fails. What's the "context" that excuses a foreigner, a former American President, trying to influence the Canadian election by tweeting out to Canadians less than a week before our federal election an endorsement of our current leftist Prime Minister's reelection? And what's the "context" that excuses the wearing of blackface? Oh, never mind, I know - Trudeau is a liberal, that's the context, that makes it all okay.

Like I said, if leftists ever had any principles by which they lived, they abandoned them long, long ago.

I’m sorry what official capacity does Obama have? He is a private citizen, are you saying he has no freedom of speech as a private citizen? Surely you haven’t become fascist have you?

Hillary and the DNC paid Russians in Ukraine to dig up dirt to use against Trump in 2016. Trump asked the new president of Ukraine to look into American and Russian corruption in the 2016 election and the democrats went absolutely stark raving mad. Democrats are not afraid of foreign interference in the elections because they know no foreigners did anything at all to change votes in 2016, either for or against Hillary. The Russian narrative is just another lie the democrats keep promoting because they know repetitive lying has worked in their favor in past elections by turning voters against republicans through dishonesty and deceit.

Yeah, that's why Obama shouldn't endorse a Canadian politician.
Uh, wot....?

Another right-whinge crying binge. "It's all so unfair!"

Obama send an army of democrat storm troopers to Israel in an effort to defeat Netanyahu in an election. Everybody knows democrats do what they can to influence elections in other countries, or to threaten other nation's leaders to obey their mandates, like fire their domestic prosecutors or risk having their money taken away by the man handling that loose cash for the US government.

What? A former President has no profile in America? Since when? I'd bet President Obama is the most popular and most influential Democrat in America, still. All of which is beside the point.

In case you missed it, the point is that a high profile American is trying to influence the elections in Canada. Can't have it both ways. Can't bitch and moan about foreigners attempting to influence the results of your elections while condoning Americans attempting to influence the elections in other countries. My mistake - you can, if you're a hypocrite.

Never claimed it was "unfair". I claimed it was hypocritical, and it is. In case you missed it, Americans on the left have spent the better part of the past three years and untold $millions claiming foreign influence in their Presidential election.

I don't care if there was foreign influence in the American election because Americans are notorious for attempting to influence the elections of other countries. And I don't care if Americans try to influence the Canadian election because it's been going on for at least the past decade, particularly by American enviro-terrorist organizations. I simply point out the fact that leftists, particularly in America, bleat when they are the victims of such actions and condone such actions when they instigate them.

I'm sure, as a Liberal, you're delighted with the "celebrity" endorsement - being told what to do by the chattering celebrity class is what Liberals crave.

Actually, Obama should have kept out of it. For one thing, if he thinks he did Trudeau a favour he's confusing Canada and the US. We, well most of us, don't have that fascination with celebrity that drives too many buses down south. And I still don't know what the hell I'm going to do on election day. I didn't think much of Trudeau when he was first elected and the SNC-Lavalin fiasco turned me right off him. I don't like the NDP for a federal government even though Singh looks like the best of the leaders. The NDP's natural role is opposition. I just might vote Green after May said she'd decriminalize all drugs, though It's easy for her to make big promises. My riding will go orange, whatever I do. Only one thing's for sure- I'll never vote for a Torie, especially one like Sheer, especially with the nasty taint of populism that's been showing through their sheep's clothing.
Better a sister in a whore-house than a brother in the Conservative Party.

I feel the same way.
My riding will go red - it always does. I voted Liberal last time, but I’m not impressed at all. They promised electoral reform, proportional representation, that didn’t happen. That was important to me. The Cons aren’t an option for me.
I think I might vote NDP - maybe green. It’s rather sad that I know my vote will be a waste of time.

And you can thank Trudeau for that.

Obama's endorsement changes nothing and means nothing to me; I'll do what it takes to keep the Cons out of government, but will vote NDP if at all possible.
