Glad this is getting done along with the other trade deal with countries like Mexico, China, and the EU. President Trump has single handedly re-ordered World trade to put the US at an advantage over previous deals for years to come.
Yeah...as I recall, things kind of soured when Trump suggested we were a security risk that was taking advantage of you - when the opposite is true on both accounts.

In days gone by we would have sought mutually beneficial trade agreements...before America inserted it's head up the asshole called Donald Trump. Ironically, by forcing your president to walk back his initial nonsense, we have achieved that. Despite your boy.

Bitter pill to swallow, especially coming from us uppity Canucks, but there it is.

That's a load of nonsense. Canada has only agreed to this stuff because Trump gave them no other choice.
No, we would have come to the table with our negotiations, and had a civil conversation - you know Canadians and our reputation for civility, right? You should - you've been trading with us for over a century.

Look, I know you're heavily invested in your delusions, I don't expect you to state the obvious, but the reality is that we got exactly what we wanted, giving very little back, and in all honesty, had your worthless pathetic president showed up with an iota of class, you would have done better. Tsk. Tsk. Now ya got egg on your face, because instead of working WITH you, like we normally do, you got our backs up, and we beat you. Little old Canada. **** your tariffs.

You know, the most hilarious part is that you think cheap parts from China is some kind of nefarious Canadian scheme. That just proves how little you understand about what's going on in the world. Who do you think is calling the shots here? What Canadian car company can you name to be pissed off at? What finished goods do you actually buy from us? How many Made In Canada stamps do you see on a daily basis?

You buy raw materials and components from us, and those go directly to American companies who benefit from the cost savings. You also benefit, in the form of cheaper toasters and vacuums and cars, etc. for American consumers, allowing them to live on less wages, once again benefitting American companies, who are the root of this entire damn gong show - them, and the politicians on both sides of your dysfunctional government, who live in their pockets.

I'm not saying that we haven't benefited from our relationship from you. American companies employ a lot of Canadian workers, albeit once again at a cost savings to payroll, thanks to the currency exchange. I'm also not suggesting that we haven't brought it before - though never has negotiations with America looked like this. But you seriously need to get over this whole victim / savior complex. Your **** stinks just as much as ours, it has always been a two way street, and you have benefitted overall at least as much we have. Thank **** we have a PM who, despite his numerous faults and gaffes, had the balls to ensure that some low rent megalomaniac, on a crusade to disprove micropenis allegations, didn't get away with one of the rudest rape attempts we've probably ever seen from your country.

You seem to be unaware of the games your government tried to play during the NAFTA renegotiations. Those games put your government at a disadvantage when Trump and AMLO went ahead, worked out a deal and Canada had to take what was offered.

But that's okay. Your country is going to have to decide whether to follow this tariff-ending agreement or not follow it...and suffer the consequences.

Wow...talk about feeling like victims. You got it bad.

Don't worry. I won't slap you upside the head with reality. You are hurting already.

I mean, that's very tough talk, and all, but given your president's consistent track record of walking back his short bus policies and initiatives, well...hehe... I think we all know what to expect by now.

Your continued garbage indicates that you wouldn't recognize reality if it were sitting on your face, holding a riding crop. If you had anything to refute me, you would have - even if you didn't, you would have. That you didn't indicates either you don't have the chops to continue this conversation, or you realize by now that I'm right, and are desperately trying to save face by resorting to what Trump's base always resorts to - distraction by insult. Sadly for you, given your grasp of the subject, and most subjects for that matter, you are in no position to insult... Oops.

If you want to come back with some kind of intelligent explanation for how Canada is at fault for American companies operating in Canada, supplying other American companies in America with cheap parts, at the request and procurement direction of those American companies, I'm all ears. Otherwise don't waste my time with garbage and partisan opinions based in delusion and the desperate need for your guy not to be as bad as he really is - I've read five conservative memes at some point, I believe they pretty much summarize everything you contribute on this forum.
