I was nearly 30 years in Local 97. Worked with two guys who went down with that bridge and lived.

A double shot of Canadian cool, k.d.lang singing Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah'.
Watch her face when she takes her bows at the end. She know's she's done something marvelous and is humbled.

No mention of Walter Ostanek?!

Let's not forget our brethren in Quebec where Le Joual (Québécois French) is the lingua Franca.

Mononc' Serge:

And Rock et Belles Oreille's Bonjour La Police:

This is why I am EVILroddy.

Often touted as the female Tom Petty, this is Kathleen Edwards with I make the dough but you get the glory. About as Canadian as it gets with references to the CBC and hockey. Fun video featuring Jim Cuddy from Blue Rodeo, Paul Coffee and of course, Marty McSorley.

You're cool and cred like Fogerty,
I'm Elvis Presley in the 70s
You're Chateau Neuf,
I'm Yellow Label
You're the buffet,
I'm just the table
I'm a Ford Tempo,
You're a Maserati
You're The Great One,
I'm Marty McSorley
You're the Concord,
I'm economy
I make the dough,
But you get the glory

Back to me is about the desperation a woman feels after getting dumped. Pathetic or tongue-n-cheek? Love it when she threatens 'my daddy is coming for you.'

Just because she's so awesome, here's another one of Kathleen Edward's great songs, In State. Another bad relationship break-up and she threatens to rat him out to the cops.
