The threat to free speech in Canada.

My last snarky response aside, I want to get something straight. Are you saying it's an overreaction to greatly step up security measures to counter Islamic terrorism? Your comment would seem to indicate you think so.

Statistically speaking, yes. If threat is determined by risk created by demographic, we have far more dangerous demographics in Canada. North American response to Islamic terrorism is akin to hunting for groundhogs with hand grenades. What we have done in response to the very few people far outweighs the impact. I'm not saying we shouldn't be vigilant...not even close. But if we act in TERROR, then the TERRORists win. Why do you want to help terrorists win, Steve?

You're forgetting the number of attacks that DIDN'T take place because of stepped up security procedures. The Dutch just this week stopped a major attack. It's news for 2 days, then forgotten by people like you. I'm glad you're not in charge.

You don't seem to realize that it sounds like you think it's no big deal for people (other people, of course) to die just so you can claim to not be an "Islamophobe". Un-frigging-believable.
