Can our candidates running for leadership please stop sounding like liberals?

Really.....I think most of you are liberals in conservative clothings - or you're now confused about your own stripes. When I listen to you talk, all I have to do is close my eyes, and I feel like attending a blasted liberal rally!

I know, if you want to have the chance of getting elected in this land, you've got to talk the talk - you've got to sound liberal. However, how can we ever change things around here if nobody will muster up the courage to say things that only makes sense?

Win or lose, you have to stand up and be conservatives in your visions!

There is a major shifting happening next door, and I don't think I'm imagining things when I say that it's catching on. You've got to know when to seize the moment. That's part of being a great leader.

It makes me question the thinking process of CP candidates who dare criticize Kellie Leitch for promoting screening and vetting of would-be applicants that they be compatible with our Canadian values.

Some moron stupidly asked, What is Canadian values? DOH? Need you ask?

Would you consider calling for jihad on gays, promiscious and "slutty" women, Canadian values? Do you consider genital mutilation of women, arranged marriages, honor killings, Canadian values?

Is forced submission of women, inequality, a Canadian value?

Any CP candidate who find anything wrong with what Kellie Leitch had proposed regarding screening for shared values, is not a conservative. She/He has the same dysfunctional liberal mind!

The new leader of CPC must put Canada and its citizen's interest first, and foremost!

What citizen doesn't glow hearing that he comes first? That the best interest of his country comes first?

You bet, a lot of everday folks - folks who have no secret agenda - are secretly wishing our politicians are like Trump.

Sounds like what was going on here about twenty years ago. Good luck Canada.

O'Leary 2019.

I can't. He's a Liberal.

It's only Leitch who's showing to be a real conservative.

I thought he was smarter than that, so never mind.

Come on already. I need you guys in Canada to maintain some semblance of common sense and courage to uphold the values that made you a great country. If you collapse, there is nobody left to set a good example for anybody else. :(

I'm not sure why you'd look to Canada as an example given that people on your side of the political aisle should consider us straight up communists as so many of them unironically called Obama, a right wing (by our standards) corporate Democrat, a socialist.

Also, barring some exploitable vote split among the left (which is generally the only way Conservatives ever win in Canada), I can't see the Tories succeeding come 2019. That said, they should be idolizing Trudeau for breaking his promise on electoral reform and keeping FPTP, because anything else would have cast them into political oblivion indefinitely as such vote splitting is only possible under this antiquated, undemocratic system (not to mention doing so has succeeded at turning many progressives against Trudeau, thereby setting the foundations for a Conservative benefiting vote split).

Well if you don't like our Canadian political values then you are free to move Trump's conservative wonderland south of the border. Don't the door hit you on the way out.

Who said anything about not liking our political values?

....which reminds me. Our educational system ought to be improved. Need to be serious about reading and comprehension.

He's smarter than Leitch, he knows who he has to appeal to, immigrants.

That's why the Liberals want to pack em in!
It's all about their votes, which no doubt mostly will go to the Liberals!

It's never about what's best for our country.

You do realize Canadian conservatives tend to be left of American ones right?
As to Leitch being the only real conservative, that is just a no true Scotsman fallacy.

Are you sure you do want to move to America, seems like Trump would suit you, knows nothing about immigration, and cannot stay on one topic. Well you clearly don't like our core value of multiculturalism and liberalism.

Anybody know the policy of Kelly Leitch? I couldn't find it on her website.

She would likely be in for a 50+% pay raise if she did. There's always room for one more here in Texas, unless you're here illegally.

Why would she be in for a 50% pay raise? Incomes are pretty similar,
Not knowing which province shes from Ill use Canada which is 78,870$C
Median total income, by family type, by province and territory (All census families)
Texas is 55,653$US
Texas State Household Income | Department of Numbers

According to this exchange converter that means the average in Canadian income in US dollars is 59,112.18$
XE: Convert CAD/USD. Canada Dollar to United States Dollar

Now there can be a difference due to taxes which vary from province to province as it does from state to state but as I understand it your health insurance is pretty out of control and has to be factored in.
While were at it so should cost of living (housing/food/fuel). As the standard fo living in Canada and the USA is pretty darn similar I think your will find there is no clear cut advantage either way.

How about two? My husband and I? ;)

We'll willingly get vetted!

Holy smokes.....did you see how much they get for their dollar? Most of what we have here are in smaller size than the ones you get in the USA! Just look at their burgers!

Supply the green card, and we're all set to go!

I've always said in early 2016.....if Trump gets elected, I'm outa here! I'm going to the USA!
I'll trade places with Alec Baldwin, and my hubby trade with Whoopi.

Of course, lyin' Baldwin is now reaping the big benefit of a comedy career! And fickle-minded Whoopi.....meh, she changed her tune!

I really like the food options as a tourist in Canada. What I'm talking about is your earning power in Information Technology or Data Science. Nursing pay in Canada is also crap compared to the USA.

And look at the size of the people wandering Walmart!

Yeah. We've lost so many doctors and nurses to the USA.

Like as if you don't see those same-size people in our WalMart. We can blame Tim Horton for that!

You actually feel that the Canadian healthcare system is a good example for everyone else?

Cognitive dissonance, maybe?
