I see you have Australia in your location. Read up on Khadija Gbla. She came to Australia 15 years ago with her family when she was approx 10 years old as a refugee due to a civil war in her homeland. She was a victim of FGM when she was 9 years old in Sierra Leone because apparently it's just done without much thought there due to a lack of education and thinking that it's the "right thing to do".
She is now an award-winning human rights campaigner who has set up her own charity called NO FGM Australia to help educate women and girls here. I for one am thrilled she was granted entry and is now an Australian citizen in my Country and applaud her for her courage and determination.
If you had your way she wouldn't be here to begin with. I could never support that.
That's a fair point, and good for her. The question boils down to whether we're willing to lose the good ones to keep out the bad ones. For as much good as she's doing, is it worth having her if it means also allowing future subversives and terrorists in.
