Understandably why Europeans cry out against Islam, look, many of its adherents are unemployed or criminal, additional instead of integration and working places they claim only new Mosques ( erected with Tax - Money!, 3.000 already alone in Germany ), the Teaching of Quran in public schools and a prohibition of any Islam critic as 'racism'. E.g. Lebanese in Germany, do not forget that social payments 'Hartz IV' in Germany include everything ( flat, food, medical assurance, clothing, money etc. etc. etc. ).Most of this people posses huge families ( many womans, till twenty children ), the clans of those can count many hundred members. If a Lebanese will became criminal the German's lefts do-goodies prevent deportation as 'racism' and 'hate'. The embassies of many countries know it and refuse to accept their country mans back, because without acceptation of responsible embassy any deportation is impossible.

Only 54% of Lebanese are Muslim, so statistically speaking, only about 18,000 of those are Muslims.

Since a long time the political correct Germany gave asylum preferably Muslims, all Christians were sent back or went to other countries. According to Sarrazin only Muslims have problem by integration in Germany.

The truth is that only US gave Asylum Lebanese Christians, Germany and some other European countries sent most of those like some other persecuted Christians ( e.g. from Iran, Kosovo, China, Iraq, Egypt etc.) back. More about is here:

The latest estimates by the C.I.A. factbook place the figure closer to 60% Muslim, and this in a country that once had a Christian majority. That doesn't necessarily mean Germany received such a sampling, however, as I do know the United States Lebanese population is mostly Christian. Germany may have a similar percentage or quite the opposite.

I'm finding conflicting info about this on the Web, but most sites I've found say that the Lebanese refugees in Germany are actually Palestinians who fled Lebanon, if that's true then Alfons is right.

The majority of Lebanese who would have had the money to immigrate would have been Christians followed by Sunni muslims. Given the change in demographics of Lebanon (ie % decrease in christian population) I would suggest the largest number of immigrants from Lebanon are christians

This is because they are nation-less. As for the OP.... 80 million people in Germany and you and the article point out 40k? I would claim there are more important problems in Germany than these few people... this stinks of xenophobia gone amok.

They could which is my point. Palestinian's are classified differently country to country but I dont know how they are in Germany, but I suspect that the classification "Palestinian" does not exist per say in the statistics.

hi i am christian from lebanon i was applying two years ago to germany to study in germany but they only take shia muslims at embassy they like muslims a lot at german embassy in beirut i went to latvia
i just hope u deport this garabage muslim to lebanon and put this german officials at embassy on trial

Unfortunately Germany is too left and has too much do-goodies who grant Asylum everybody except Christians or the true persecuted people. Germany's lefts have created a grotesque situation if only Religion is important to get a residence permit. If somebody is a pimp, drug trafficker, social security defrauder and additional from a country like Bosnia, Kosovo, Lebanon, Egypt etc. he is highly welcome there.

The Problem is that almost all main German Parties have huge percent of Muslims who want only islamic immigration to Germany. Additional are for lefty politically correct do-goodies only Muslims worthy to live in Germany.
