You do realize I was describing pretty much how ObamaKare was passed, don't you? Something the Leftists have been seeking to foist upon the American public for far more than a half century. It was an idiotic idea, the journOlists have slobbered over it and promoted it for decades and though it is proven to fail wherever tried... it hasn't, doesn't and didn't stop the Leftists.

If they cannot get something all in one chunk, Leftists are willing to nibble at their goal like rats... until the foundation is shot. It's how we got 14,000,000,000,000 in debt... by chunks (FDR) of socialism and nibbles. Now our economic foundation is shot and the socialists still want to smash away.

Why not simply take everything and give us a monthly allowance?

As you can see from your graph, the debt spike began in 1981 when the GOP cut tax revenue and increased spending. That trend has continued to this day except for a brief period when Clinton raised taxes a bit and reduced spending when things improved a bit, and the went right back to spiking upwards again when Bush cut taxes again and increased spending.

What is needed to fix 30 years of insufficient revenues in addition to way too much spending? 30 years without the tax cuts for the rich which never panned out for job production anyway, and cut way back on our spending.

ROTFLOL... when you throw legislative ****... it takes a while to hit the fan. When you start a Ponzi/Madoff scheme it takes for a while for the pyramid to collapse... it doesn't implode immediately, and when government is running it and has hundreds of millions of people's cash forced into the game... it takes longer.
