GOP official apologizes for Obama chimp email

here's why people believe some republicans are racist. "unwise" my ass.

GOP official apologizes for Obama chimp email - Politics - More politics - msnbc.com

imo, she should be immediately fired.

Her apology:

"To my fellow Americans and to everyone else who has seen this email I forwarded and was offended by my action, I humbly apologize and ask for your forgiveness of my unwise behavior. I say unwise because at the time I received and forwarded the email, I didn't stop to think about the historic implications and other examples of how this could be offensive," Davenport's apology read.

She's 73 years old. She knew damn well the historic implications of how this could be offensive. They are doing an ethics investigation on her as we speak. She apparently has stated she will not resign.

Fire her ass!!

Now here is something most liberals and conservatives should be able to come together on.

Maybe we can get 'The Donald' to do it...

I am in full agreement with both of you ladies. Sadly, this is not just one incident but is part of a larger slur against the President. Even back in the campaign itself we had the people showing up at McCain & Palin rallies with the Curios George monkey with Obama stickers on it. This is nothing new. But we have to tackle this one incident at a time.

If your party is accused of racism everyday, don't send an email that could be considered racist. Some people are stupid.

ignorance... projection ... attempting to hide their own racism.

- Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Democrat icon and orchestrator of Japanese Internment
- Ex-House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt, former affiliate of a St. Louis area racist group
- Ex-Senate President Pro Tempore Robert Byrd, former Ku Klux Klansman known for making bigoted slurs on national television
- Rev. Jesse Jackson, Democrat keynote speaker and race hustler known for making anti-Semitic slurs
- Rev. Al Sharpten, Democrat activist and perennial candidate and race hustler known inciting anti-Semitic violence in New York City
- Sen. Ernest Hollings, leading Democrat Senator known for use of racial slurs against several minority groups
- Lee P. Brown, former Clinton cabinet official and Democrat mayor of Houston who won reelection using racial intimidation against Hispanic voters
- Andrew Cuomo, former Clinton cabinet official and Democrat candidate for NY Governor who made racist statements about a black opponent.
- Dan Rather, Democrat CBS news anchor and editorialist known for using anti-black racial epithets on a national radio broadcast
- Donna Brazile, former Gore campaign manager known for making anti-white racial attacks. Brazile has also worked for Jackson, Gephardt, and Michael Dukakis

now I don't think democrats are any more or less inherently racist than republicans. But hey that's just me, I mean if that makes me racist to you, then so be it, I am not the one who looks foolish.

As that never was the question and what you tried to do is deflection, smoke and mirrors and projection, it is highly debatable if you look foolish or not.

Since you put the word "thought" as you did , you are obviously baiting and want to fight.

Please by all means, don't duck the question, what did you mean by post #7?

what do you think about what she did, rev?

I think she's a 73 year old dingbat and I care about it as much as I care about Bidens "Articulate" comment, or hillary's indian comment, or Obama's "white people are typically racists comment...

idiotic but not indicicative of inherent racism of an entire party.

No Rev....c'mon be honest....you cared a whole lot more about those other comments.

You have already revealed that you are baiting and simply want to fight.

obama said white people are typically racist? i did not know that.

obama said white people are typically racist? i did not know that.

His white grandmother told him she had racist thoughts/tendencies and she also uttered some racial epithets once in a while. Obama then called her a "typical white person".

Edit:
The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn't. But she is a typical white person who, uh, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know there's a reaction that's been been bred into our experiences that don't go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way and that's just the nature of race in our society. We have to break through it..." - Senator Barack Obama

You did not read all the supporting factual information that went along with the allegation?

Maybe you should go back and read it all.
