Democratic Senator Reveals Nearly $300,000 in Unpaid Property Taxes

Did you post the link "a breath of fresh air"? So let me see it was okay for you to take the thread off topic because it was humorous, then I just posted the Ron Paul fact check links because I thought it was humorous. I don't find the future of our country to be a humorous subject, whether a politician is stealing from us by not paying their taxes or stealing from us by lying, fabricating information or misrepresenting facts in my opinion should not be a character trait that we reward with our votes. We are responsible for the poor character traits that we tolerate from those we elect to represent us. If you don't feel that those we elect to office, that those that we intrust the future of our country to should be expected to be honest then you are contributing to the apparent mind set of our elected representatives who think they don't owe us the truth.

yikes.....did you get beat up alot as a kid?

When I was growing up lying was not tolerated, maybe politicians have always lied, fabricated and misrepresented the truth but we have easy ways to check. We should not have to elect the lesser of two evils we should be able to elect the best candidate based on what they stand for and we should be able to make that determination by what they say and do. Any one in public office or seeking public office who chooses to lie, fabricate, misrepresent the truth or steal should be banned from seeking public office for life and forfeit all pension and health benefits. If we expect less from those we are paying to do a job then we deserve exactly what we get

As you mentioned, all politicians fabricate the truth.

For some extremely bizarre reason, you chose to single out the one candidate that does this far less than any other, in a thread that the information doesn’t belong in

Your examples you even bring forth are extremely lame. Take for instance, the one trillion dollar “lie”. This was a situation where Dr. Paul simply regurgitated numbers that other pundits had put out for public consumption. The actual dollar amount was trivial. His point isn’t that we spend a trillion dollars, it is that we spend way too much on government functions that were never intended to be the role of a federal government.

I’m curious, if you are so intolerant of liars, where is the thread by you pointing out the extreme lie Obama told? You know, the one where he campaigned on the belief that the president does not have power to go to war for humanitarian reasons without congress, then did it anyway.

I brought it up? Really? scroll back to YOUR post # 43 once you have scroll back to # 1 and then point out to me where I brought Ron Paul into this discussion or where I supported any politician of any party that has engaged in any lying, fabricating, misrepresenting the truth or any other less than honest statement.

Show me where I defended the right of Senator McCaskill to falsify her taxes, you can't.

Your reference in post #51 to whether I was beat up a lot as a kid what does that have to do with this thread?

Post #43 concerns a politician returning tax money, which is related to the topic at hand.

Post #51 came about AFTER I pointed out none of your responses pertain to the thread topic in the slightest.

The topic of this thread is a democratic senator who did not pay property tax on an airplane that was owned by her and her husband, you took the opportunity to leave a link to a libertarian congressman who is a member of your party, it seems that your intent was to show that he was in some way lily white, I did a search and left the links I found that showed that if there is a difference between Congressman Ron Paul and Senator McCaskill it is that one evaded paying taxes and the other is either a liar or misrepresents the truth. They should both be removed from office and given an opportunity to defend their actions and if they are found guilty they should be permanently removed, banned from office and forfeit any benefits that they may have been entitled to.

I think we need a law that spells out what the consequences will be for any politician of any party that purposely or inadvertently steals, misleads, misinterprets or fabricates any information that they present to the public.

Do you think we deserve honesty from those we elect to represent us?

if honesty is what you want, how in the world do you support a single liberal politician in office today? name a single one of them that has not engaged in lies, or deceit.

Do you think that dishonesty belongs to one party or do you think it crosses party lines, is it okay for your choice to be dishonest? Is it okay for any public office holder to lie? Why do you think they are less then honest? I think that "we the people" are responsible because we tolerate dishonesty and lies from those we elect to public office, They have became use to being able to manipulate us because we accept to much of what they say as the gospel, because we tolerate less then honest behavior.
