I couldnt agree more. Beck is a shock-jock. He isnt about news or even informing. The guy is a entertainer..... and a bad one at that. Please read and then watch the video.

On Friday's "Morning Joe," Joe Scarborough said Glenn Beck has gone "out of control" and is "bad for the conservative movement."
Scarborough started by playing a clip of a particularly agitated and angry Beck. He was not happy with what he saw.
"I've been telling conservatives for about two years, this guy is bad for the movement," Scarborough said. "This guy is losing it before our eyes. He's bad for the conservative movement. He's bad for the Republican Party. He's bad for Fox News...even guys over at Fox News have to start thinking, this can't last. He's out of control."
Scarborough then read a blog post by conservative commentator Peter Wehner. "Glenn Beck has become the most disturbing personality on cable television," Wehner wrote. Scarborough clearly seemed to agree with that assessment.
"He throws bombs out all the time," he said. "It's the conspiracy theories that are the most dangerous because that gets people acting out."

Personally, I don't think Glenn Beck is losing anything. He has a target audience and Fox News knows that the man is a ratings gold mine. I would imagine that the louder and more insane his rants get, the more people who are going to watch him. By focusing on him and freaking out about him, you are giving him the exact reaction that he wants. People on the left need to remember this.

Now, as for what you are going to hear from people who like Glenn Beck or people on the right in general, your primary source is The Huffington Post. Not only that, but they are reporting the opinion of a guy from msnbc, which many consider to be the Fox News for liberals. If you are trying to gain any sort of anti-Glenn Beck traction, you aren't really going about it in the best way. While they may have some valid points, they will immediately be dismissed by people on the right simply because of where they are coming from.

yea, like scarborough is a barometer for rational thought

He's right that Beck's shows are becoming increasingly tinfoilish, though. I mean really, Code Pink involved with the Muslim Brotherhood in a plot to take over Egypt? Does he even know anything about Code Pink?

After watching the clip on Beck, I know I should have voted for Beck, on that other thread, as being the craziest. The problem with Beck is exactly what Wehner described, the crazier he gets, the crazier his viewers get, and the left isn't freaking out, we're just laughing at the idiocy he proposes and how many believe him.....that is until one of his followers acts out on account of his rants, then nobody will be laughing.

How many times can the same thing be said over and over and over again on this site? We get it. You don't like Glenn Beck and you think he's off his rocker. Can we move on to more important things?

Funny, those that don't like Glenn Beck being discussed in a negative manner, go ahead and post on the thread.

Like Faux News watchers say, if you don't like it don't watch it!

OK!!!! I gained 4 pounds in the last 2 weeks but I went shopping today and I got a lot of tuna fish on sale at Big Lots! Then I went right over to Super Low and I got like 8 pounds of apples. So Im going to be eating apples and tuna for my new diet! :2wave:

Okay, but do you think Glenn Beck is losing it? If you lose the 4lbs, will you still like Glenn Beck?

This is probably as plausible as a FOX analyist stating that Michael Moore is getting crazier due to his remark that America isn't in debt. It typically happens both ways in politics; so much so that blaming one side for something is redundant. MSNBC is FOX. FOX is MSNBC. I daresay NBC and CNN are FOX as well in terms of bias based on the obvious repeated comments aimed from one side to another. What do I mean? I mean that this thread is pointless because both sides perpetually do this. It's politics. Professional squabbling.

Beck is too convenient for Fox News to abandon. On the one hand, he stirs up violence against liberals and moderates that makes it physically dangerous to stand in the way of the GOP in some parts of the country. And on the other, they can pretend that people like Scarborough, who are themselves radical right-wingers, are "moderate" simply because they speak in coherent sentences and don't break down in hysterics on a regular basis.

Do you have any other reference beside the Huffington?
