John boehner sex probe

Fact is, the POTUS can get his BJ by whomever he wishes where ever he wishes in he White House, using any toys or implements with any foreign President or leader in the room or on the phone, as long as he's not breaking any domestic or criminal laws (read: consensual). Clinton was impeached for lying under oath. Morally, yes it was repugnant to know that Clinton did those things (which I will not go into right now) but that's not why he was impeached. He lied and he lied to investigators under oath.

Very true but you fail to report that he was acquitted by the senate, and two other perjury motions by the house failed. If the republicans and Ken Star would not have gone a multimillion dollar witch hunt it never would have come to that, and the American people would have been spared all this. They were trying to pin something on Clinton for years and finally got him to lie under oath. What a waste of time and money when the republicans should have been doing better things.

Wasn't Ken Starr asked to do it by Janet Reno? Seems like Starr was just doing his job (investigating), and got annihilated for it. Something wrong about that.

It's post like this that is the reason I have no respect for liberals. Because one way or another they have to find someone else to blame. That should be (and probably is) an oath they take to become a liberal... they put their hand on the bible...... opps I forgot then don't believe in the bible either … just repeat after me … I john smith in order to be considered liberal, solemnly swear that I will take no responsibility for any actions and that I will deny, and blame others.

So the whole investigation was Ken Starrs and republican's fault? We the people shouldn't expect that the president of the USA, once in the sites of an investigation, doesn't have enough courage or is man enough to step and yes .. yes I did it .. I'm sorry ….. if he had done that … the whole investigation is over, there would have been two weeks of media flash … then it would have gone away. But that would be to easy, it's better to spend those millions of dollars you talk about, take over a year, lie under oath …... just so liberals like you can come back and say “it's all the Republicans fault.

Regardless of the Senate actions, he lied. He admitted he lied.

Contempt of court

"Simply put, the president's deposition testimony regarding whether he had ever been alone with Ms. (Monica) Lewinsky was intentionally false, and his statements whether he had ever engaged in sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky likewise were intentionally false..." - Judge Susan Webber Wright.

He also settled out of court with Paula Jones, for $850,000 in exchange for the court case to be dismissed.

He was still impeached by the House. That the Republicans did go to lengths to show a sitting President who knowing lied to investigators, was and is not acceptable behavior is a good thing.

Your point is moot. He WAS in fact Impeached. And you also conveniently gloss over the WHY. He was on trial for sexual harassment. The details of the Jones case seldom are even discussed when considering his perjury charges. In many ways, Lewinsky was the best thing that could have happened to him. It put the focus on the pres boning an intern and having her insert cigars into her snatch prior to him smoking them instead of on the account of him exposing himself to a campaing staffer and then asking her to blow him.

Look...no one gave a crap about the Flowers affair. No one was interested in the numerous women he slept with. The rape...the mashing...the sexual harrassment...those were different because they were not consensual. If he didnt want to get nailed for perjury then he should have learned from Ms Lewinsky when to keep his mouth shut.

It's the National Enquirer. Sure they nailed Edwards, but how many false scandals have they blared across their pages?

Should we keep our ears open to a more... credible source? Sure. Am I gonna get excited about this just yet? No. Just as I didn't get that excited about the Edwards story till it was picked up by real journalist.

Next, you'll start questioning the reality of the ghost of Elvis.

I'm not sure what he was to learn from Ms. Lewinsky as I thought her problem was that didn't keep her mouth shut.

If true, why would it matter if he was boning anyone other than his wife?

Why do liberals never understand this. It's called integrity, and when you don't have it, you're vulnerable to almost anything.

Let's say China wants nuclear secrets, and they threaten Bill Clinton that if he doesn't turn them over, they'll make sure the press finds out about Monica Lewinsky.......

Just how far would John Edwards have gone to keep his situation quiet if given the chance?

If this is true, Boehner should be ousted as Speaker, and the people of Ohio need to get rid of him first chance.

Character matters. If you can't honor your most basic commitments, you shouldn't serve.

Believe it or not, Middleground, LOTS of people are true to their spouses. Lots of people tell the truth and do the right thing. They should be our leaders, not the unprincipled, weak-minded egomaniacs of our society.

more eurosocialist nonsense. The big homo scandals involved Democrats. Gerry Studs (LOL-great name for a gay guy), Barney Frank and the Governor of New Jersey.

Gerry Studs???? That was almost 30 years ago. Once again our conservative friends have to go deep into the archives to gain equivalence.... The lion's share of all recent sex scandal's, gay and straight, belong the party that wants you to believe they are all about family values.

....and we haven't even mentioned Ted Haggard....

...my point exactly.... but integrity extends to practicing what you preach. The democrats are not choir boys either, but at least they don't further deplete their integrity by trying to tell you they are, as is the case with guys on the other side of the aisle. See above

So may I take it this was given thorough consideration by you in the last presidential election where we had a spousal cheater vs. one that has been true to his wife (once again, the dem with the greater integrity....uh?)

Put Barney Frank in your sexual miscreant chart, and the printer will run out of ink.

I..did...not..have..sex..with..that..woman.

It depends on what the definition of "is" is.

And unlike liberals, conservatives don't embrace their bad apples. We throw them out with the trash.

Conservatives embrace their principles, while liberals embrace their celebrities.

Do you really think Boehner will get thrown out if the allegations are true? Conservatives have just as many dirtballs amoungst their ranks as the liberals.

LOL! No doubt Clinton would have been in less trouble had she kept her mouth shut.

You and Erod have me convinced. Yes, Republicans sometimes show a lack of integrity by cheating on their spouses. Yes, Democrats sometimes show a lack of integrity by cheating on their spouses. I think anyone would have a difficult time showing that one has more integrity than the other.

Even in bad circumstances there are positive lessons to learn...

There isnt a dimes difference between them. This type of behavior is common in society...why would we not expect it to be common with overpriveleged 'representatives' who demonstrate over and over they cant be trusted but still get sent back?

You're right. It was pretty impressive the way the Conservs forced Larry Craig out of the senate after his "wide stance" non-sense; then insisted on the immediate resignation of values guy Mark Stanford once he returned from his nudist walk along the Appalachian trail; how they blocked Vetters from running again after Mr. family man had his daliance with the hooker; and of course, it was incredible how they championed the resignation and full prosecution of John Ensign after the revelations that he may have paid off a staffer in the cover-up of his sexual romp with that staffer's wife. Yes, all these impressive things happened in the alternative universe you live in. In this universe quite the opposite is true.

Conservs may not "embrace their bad apples', but they sure look the other way. I would love to have an example where they "threw one out with the trash" (in this century please)

don't forget the once shining star of the chicago dem crime family and a poster child for affirmative action-Rhodes Scholar Mel Reynolds who was convicted of extortion and banging a 16 year old girl. what republican congressman has been convicted of child rape in recent history.

what was craig convicted of?

I have yet to meet either a defense attorney or a criminal prosecutor who believes the state could have convicted Craig of anything if he had gone to trial. the cop jumped way too soon and in the absence of physical contact or spoken words, the state didn't have sufficient evidence of any crime

squire, as an officer of the court, correct me if i am in error

but my recollection was that larry craig entered a guilty plea in that matter

and here you try to insist that he was innocent

some republicans are deserving of the hypocrisy charge when they spew their family values crap and then bag some extra familial beaver

however, that is nothing compared to those rich fat cats like John Kerry whining about the rich when he married two rich heiresses and registered his yacht in a different state to avoid punitive property taxes or the Kennedys [who engaged in all sorts of tax scams (like putting assets in a trust in Fiji)] to avoid taxes they want to impose on other often much less wealthy citizens.

yeah and if you actually read what I wrote, you would note I stated if he had gone to trial

never said he was innocent but merely the state did not have sufficient evidence to overcome the presumption that he was innocent if he had fought the charges

It would be, were it not for the E in the name.

My mother is a native German speaker and my first lanquage was German. I respectfully disagree. Oh and the wife is a German teacher.
